Intrinsic perk - Vex Elemental Scanner: Shooting an enemy shield automatically matches this weapons projectiles to that shield’s damage type.
Legendary Trait - Shield Disorient: Energy matched shield explosion disorients nearby combatants.
Exotic catalyst - Energy Disruption Break: Breaking an enemy’s shield with this weapon makes them more vulnerable to Energy damage for a brief period.

Lock on time is almost instant and the beam will track until you descope or reload. The gun excels at dealing with high mobility targets as the tracking on the beam is highly aggressive. The velocity of the beam at start is not hitscan. This works the same a tethering. Targets marked by spores will automatically lock the beam onto it if there are no obstacles in the way and they are within range. The masterwork allows it to have a similar explosion to firefly on kill. Chaining to multiple enemies does not use additional ammo. TLDR: it basically makes you have a shadowshot tether that does damage but limited chaining as a weapon.

In general I think it would be cool to have armor and weapons from enemies. Could even have a forge type of thing that crafts an enemy themed armor or weapon.

It would be too good for a weapon. Probably would have poor stats because of its perk.

It sounds like a great idea for the 1 percent of enemies with shields in this game. But the problem is for the other 99 percent without shields, it acts like a normal shotgun.

The Vex. Able to teleport vast distances across galaxies....bring enough buddies for a 10 second fight. They really are inept 😂😂
