This sort of stuff is happening in all PVP games across the internet (mainly in the USA). COD and Battlefield are just as bad nowadays. You get into a match and you can get a kill no matter what you use. It's all because of the American network of ISP's. When all ISP's were allowed to shape bandwidth as they see fit, this wasn't just on the customers end. They also shape and control the bandwidth of other ISP's traffic coming thru their network. Providers will automatically switch other companies traffic through lower cost systems to save money. Some of the lowest cost systems run through cell towers and older cable systems. Its going to get worse unfortunately. With almost no regulations of standards and practices, companies can do pretty much what they want on their network. Want to see what kind of speed and pings you are really getting on your network? Next time you do a speed test, select a location across the country from where you are at. This will give you a good idea of what your ping really is on the internet. It can jump like crazy while you are testing.

  • I say this to all the 'i have 600 down and 3 ping so it can't be me crowd'. You say test ping to another area of the country, you're clearly American. How about test your ping to countries 8000 miles away? I'm UK n non regional mm kills destiny in Europe, it's a reason why the playerbase is so low over here. A typical lobby for me will involve Russia, Kuwait, Egypt, Brazil, Japan, maybe the USA sonetimes My typical ping, I'm UK, wired, fibre, 80-100 up 40-50 down on average but when I test to other countries it goes like this (bear in my mind any ping under 100 is considered decent for fps) To UK 10 France, Holland, Germany 35 Russia 275 Kuwait, middle East 600 Washington 1200 Then you have to filter in, the very poor internet in the middle East, Russia, Italy, Spain, TV latency, people throttling connection, modded controllers, and a game that rewards the worst connection by rejecting your damage going to them thru jitter/packet loss, and their damage hitting you in big chunks so you feel like you've been 1 hit. All in all P2P is a huge cause of many issues you see, but non regional mm is probably worse for yours and everyone's experience. Let me choose if I want to instantly play teleporting hector from Peru, or wait 5 mins n play people from at the very least my own continent
