Chuck stood over a body. who couldn't be told from a rotting fruit in the sun, where the juices have run, and the pulp was eaten no more. The sight was atrocious. The face of the unidentified woman was gone, left behind was a pulp of bone and flesh. Her breasts, torn clean off and a hole was driven through her chest, into her heart cavity. Her heart, missing. Her hands stripped clean of all flesh, along with her feet. The strangest thing was not the missing body parts, but that there was not a drop of blood. The concrete her body lay on was spotless. Nowhere on the city street would you have guessed a murder had taken place except for the body. Nary a spot of blood on her frame, nor in her veins, did investigators find? the hemoglobin, all sucked by a goblin? with nothing left all dried. "Who was she?" Charlie asked, looking over Chuck's shoulder. "Honestly, I have no clue. I don't often find bodies without faces, fingers, or feet just out lying in the street." "Have you tried running dental records?" "I thought about it, but her teeth are gone. Whoever did this, took everything." "What about DNA from the cells?" "I don't have access to those databanks. after the PPA passed, everyone but the doctors who deal in genetics lost the databanks" Charlie seemed very confused by this.
