Can Warlocks Get Some Support from Bungie?

It's no secret that warlocks are the least played class since d1. Not saying we're useless in pvp and things aren't good I feel gimped in comp unless I play Titan or Hunter. Why is warlock such a pve focused class? When something gets nerfed or re adusted the whole thing gets nuked. Time after Time everything about warlocks are neglected by the sandbox team Everytime. Whenever warlocks are in the twab they get the one buff and the most amount of nerfs. Why is it warlocks since d2 have the slowest melee speed for an uncharged melee when they're all the same range? Why is it warlocks have the shortest charged melee range and the slowest charged melee in the game? It's bad enough we have the worst jumps in the game and we're the slowest. Tied to the slowest movement without the aid of traversivse steps and dawnblade. Astrocytheverse doesn't fix the issue with blink and that's you can shoot the blink trail as you character is stretched and it'll count as a head shot. We also have the worst grenades without additional perks to aid them. Axion bolts follow the enemy like an arc soul, scatter grenades do absolutely nothing, fire bolts are just as worse as fusion grenades. There's such a delay to them. Scatter grenades still have a activatiom delay or no activation an issue since d1 beta. (Top Tree Daybreak) For a class focused on in air combat it surely hinders you in doing so. Why is it that hunters have better in air accuracy then entire subclass centered on in air combat? For me to reduce some sort of in air accuracy penalty I need to get a melee hit in. Gee I'm so glad no one runs SHOTGUNS. The in air accuracy bonuses from getting a melee in from Swift Strike is almost unnoticeable. While Icarus grip you see results instantly the moment boots leave the ground. If only swift strike could also be activated from all solar abilities. Don't forget you have to make use of the worst jumps in the game both strafe or balanced jump which hinders the function of daybreak. Which top tree doesn't grant tracking or extend duration. Icarus dash 7 solid seconds to a cooldown. With no additional effects It's not like icarus dash can make me go invis, stop tick damage, break aim assist, break tracking, condense my hit box, reload my gun, or give me an entire melee charge. It needs a cooldown of 3.2 seconds and can double dash when swift strike is active. The only thing top tree has is cooldown to melee and grenade when getting kills in the air. Why is it on super activation I get my abilities back when I get them back just by getting a kill from the air in super? It should blind nearby enemies when activating daybreak. Swords won't kill people on direct impact. (Well of Radiance) is getting a damage resistance nerf which makes no sense btw. It's not like I'm over here tanking everything like the good ole ward of dawn. Which you can't challenge without a suppressor grenade another super or tractor cannon. Currently slug shotguns will put you down, one sniper head shot puts you down so does high impact fusions and precision frame. But wait there's more. Pulses and scouts, pulse grenades, solar grenades, vortex grenades can put you down. I Feel safer impaling someone with the sword thrust walking away and playing the rest of the map then I do standing in my well. (Bottom Tree Daybreak) The super is the only thing going for it. There's no neutral play whatsoever! Phoenix dive is utterly useless in and out of super. When someone hears daybreak you betcha everyone is gonna run not sit there waiting for you to slam on top of them. Which has a long animation btw. Phoenix Dive out of super has no purpose it has been nerfed the same time Wormhusk did as it literally grants the same effect. It doesn't matter how high up you go there's a cap to health restoration. But it's okay I can use it every 6 seconds after floating in the air just to fall slow let alone locking you in animation. All it has is pve gimmicks fall down faster, turn vertical lifts into a poormans bounce house and not take fall damage. Swords won't kill on direct impact. (chaos reach) still blinds the user all while having one of the lowest damage resistances. You'd think that being suspended and trapped in the air you'd have a good fighting chance. Wrong you get shutdown effortlessly. If ionic blink was tied to a jump option and not trapped on top tree stormcaller since we invented blink. Cast chaos would truly shine. chaos reach blink change direction blink and combo it together. ionic Trace will travel away from you on kills. (attunment of conduction) Jumping cancels your attack which makes no sense as every other roaming super doesn't penalize you for jumping. Feedback should replace ionic blink. Ionic blink replaces either strafe or balanced glide. Feedback Getting hit by an enemy melee recharges and intensifies your melee. bottom tree stormcaller) Electrostatic Surge lost what made it viable back in d1. I don't care for the rift cooldown nor the super cooldown. We have to many exotics tied to rifts. electosatic also had the effect of enemies nearby when stormcaller is active would take damage giving it more offensive and defensive capabilities. Bottom tree is also effected by the jump cancelation of stormtrance. Rising Storm melee needs to grant the same range as amplitude. top tree nova bomb) charging scatter grenades does nothing for them. They should have the same benefits granted from nothing manacles. Entropic pull should grant grenade energy on hits and super energy on kills as well. nova warp) atomic breach melee isn't applying neither effects of Knock back or detonation which deaths that should be a trade are not. Theres such a delay to detonation. While mortar blast will always proc for titans and can result in trades. My melee effects won't even proc just flat out lose my melee charge. When nova warp ends most of the time I can't fire my gun. I have to pull the trigger twice to be able to engage with my weapons. uncharged blasts from nova warp do little to no damage as well as the radius is inconsistent. This is also a huge disadvantage considering it's our best attack to deal with other roaming supers otherwise I need to charge up then detonate which the enemy has more then enough time to strike mutiple times. It will also end up leaving enemies at little to no health from a super. Nova warp needs a full blast detonation on super activation. It just can't contest other supers efficiently. I have to work 10x harder to take out another super. Bottom Tree nova bomb) No secret is the worse shutdown super in the game. The moment I toss it gravity instantly takes effect. Yes it getting a buff what's this the 4th buff and it's still will most likely be trash. Devour seems so medicore now and I loved making use of it in y1 but since y2 it's been phased out. Can't begin to tell you how many times I'll lose devour to others stealing a kill in some cases would of kept me in the fight or I'll just flat out lose devour effects. My melee is useless when devour is proc as well. Devour is missing something. What devour is active, killing enemies extends it's duration and needs to grants increased melee speed, movement speed and recharges your grenade. While Devour is active using nova bomb grants the benefits of Lance. I've you've read this I appreciate that. You might not agree but I'm sick an tired of warlocks being so pve driven and never getting buffs or beneficial changes. The only changes we seem to get are drastic nerfs and bungie neglects warlocks all the time. each twab proves that.

  • As a PC Warlock main, Warlocks don't really need buffs. Just because we dont have an OEM equivalent exotic doesn't mean we can't compete. Warlocks dont need buffs. If you ask me, I don't think any class needs buffs. Subclass or otherwise.

      • “Warlocks at eleast played class since D1” except that every raid has at least 3 warlocks running Luna well. I’ve seen raids without titans or hunters even but never without warlocks

          Warlock Super buffs: (ARC) Bottom Tree Increase the damage of [b][u]landfall[/u][/b] by 4x. [b][u]Electro Static Surge[/u][/b] needs to deal damage to surrounding enemies while in Super. [b][u]Landfall[/u][/b] should also increase the damage of Storm grenade by 50%. (VOID) Middle Tree Decrease charge time from 0.7 to 0.5 seconds. Remove slowed movement while charging. Decrease duration from 22 to 16 seconds. Reduce the cost of a fully charged blast to allow 8 detonations within this time frame. Remove the cost of dark-blink. (VOID) Bottom Tree Keep the [b]Vortex effect[/b] of [b]Nova Bomb[/b] but change it to [b][u]Lance[/u][/b]. (SOLAR) Top Tree Change it back to [b][u]Sunsinger[/u][/b]. [b][u]Viking Funeral[/u][/b].         • Nova Warp is pretty useless against other supers. Since you have to charge it up like a fusion you have to guess when to charge when going against another super, its too slow, and you always lose. Also if you are charging up a handheld super nova and you blink you lose the nade charge and have to re-charges it again. You can walk, run, and jump with the charge but you can't blink which is stupid.

          • Something I just noticed: Warlock supers in arc take time to kill, while other classes in arc are one shots. Solar warlocks don't swing as fast as a solar titan throws. Void locks slowva bomb is negated by walls, but void shields bounce in any direction and track automatically. A void hunter's arrow will negate your super while traveling if you are close to it. And even with the nerf to nightstalker, it can still move about the map far easier than a nova warp. Warlocks are the only class that can teleport, but its mainly tied to void, with top arc getting it in super. But it drains so much compared to a bottom arc titan or mid void hunter's movement. Idk, I've been a warlock main since d1, but we seem to get shafted every update.

              • Blame the ppl that wanted warlocks nerf now that weapons of light is back they should honestly leave well alone all titans wanted was to be useful in raids and that's what i wanted to. When they nerf that void super for warlocks the community should've said the range but since no one can't use details for shit bungie just nerfs crap into the ground.

                    • Nova warp is fundamentally flawed, while other supers can instantly hit you once they get in range nova warp has to charge for 2.3 seconds, AND ON TOP OF THAT, there’s another .5 second animation to release the blast, 3 seconds where you can do absolutely nothing but be a sitting duck, you can’t dodge you can’t blink, you’re even slower then you were before. And if the players start to run away you waste a decent chunk of super energy just for starting a charge.

                      • Not to mention our abundance of terrible exotics. We have so many that benefit rift but rift in of itself is still terrible. Even if you combined every single rift exotic into 1, it would still wouldn’t be used.

                            Disagree. Warlocks are amazing. I think it's a less skilled player problem. If you don't see advantages they have throughout all actives in the game.

Which is, that the warlock class sucks in basically every way. Which is incredibly false especially looking at the class statistically. Have you ever thought, that it might actually just be you?

                              • Completely agree mate. I've mained warlock since D1 Alpha, its not the class it used to be I miss the good days. Not gonna change though I will still perverse. Bungie should just change the name of the game. "Destiny 2 Hunter Edition" because thats what they want you to play. Warlocks and Titans are losing their instant reload with Rift and Rally Baricade, are Hunters losing their ability to dodge and inta re load? Dont think they are.

                                • Im still salty about how much they disrespected regular ol' Nova Bomb in D2. The blast radius still doesnt feel as big as D1. We had Lance and Shatter in D1 which allowed you to tune the delivery of your nova bomb for the activity you were doing. The first time I saw Blade Barrage I thought, son of a -blam!-. That super is what nova bomb used to be. The powerful, ranged super that was excellent at getting multikills and shutting down opponent supers. And when you think about it, BB is a stronger nova bomb that combines BOTH Lance and Shatter . . .

                                  • Find it funny how the comments directed towards that lone Titan (God like class btw) destroying me and there is absolutely no way I could escape it, my skills is/are top notch, no one would ever be able to match me one on one, one on six...I am god like but, that darn Titan made me dead <insert armor, weapons and subclass pick here> blah blah blah...PVP...blah blah...PVP...blah blah. Titans must be removed from the game immediately!! Yet, *shrug* I die as a Titam main from..omg!! Warlocks!! and those pesky tree huggers HUNTERS!! <insert armor, weapons and subclass here> all the darn time. It would appear the least class played in PVP is being targeted and don't argue, it is the least played class in the Crucible and PVE due to...hmmmm i wonder why? We all have to admit, Bungie has painted themselves into a corner with Titans. Go to far to the right and BOOM OP and go to far to the left and BOOM gimped even more than they are right now. Man up, play your class, the class YOU enjoy and don't let mister One-eye get yah down, cause I bet your arse, your next death is going from a Hunter or a Warlock. To the OP...ssssh it isn't all that bad, trust me it isn't, but if you feel it is...play a Titan and embrace it or play a Hunter and embrace that as a main. Cause honestly, it all comes out as if this just about you and how YOU feel...Get better, over come and adapt! Cause I sure do and why is that? Because I friggin enjoy playing DESTINY!!
