What happens if I cannot agree with Steam ToS/EULA or am otherwise unable to access Steam from my location?

I do not / cannot agree to the Steam ToS/EULA. Also, when I travel and when I get the most playtime, I cannot access Steam from many of the locations/jurisdictions I frequent. Should those who, for the mentioned reasons, cannot continue playing Destiny 2 on Steam expect to be "swept under the rug" as an acceptable loss?

  • Unfortunately, it is the way it is going to be. If you choose to not or for some other reason are unable to obtain a Steam account then when battlenet takes the game down you will lose access. The number of people who are in the situation as you described are going to be a very very extreme minority and are not going to cause them to partner with a 2nd launcher to appease them. Steam is the most widely accepted launcher, so it has the highest availability and location support around.
