I’m a vegetarian. That means no cheese.
I forget what ranch had, though. Whey?
And on w side note, a vegetarian and a vegan are not the same thing.
Hol up. I thought that vegetarian was no meat/fish, and vegan was no dairy (?). My mom’s vegetarian and she still has milk/cheese/yogurt
Edit: just saw your post about rennet, disregard this

The specifics vary from vegetarian to vegetarian. Vegan is no animal-derived products whatsoever. That’s no dairy, no eggs, etc.
There is actually vegetarian cheese, though. If you made it the old fashioned way—just leaving milk out in the sun—then it’d be perfectly acceptable. There’s also fungi-derived rennet you could use, too, but the only brand I know that uses it is Tillamook.
I can’t eat vegetarian cheese either, though. Cheese is just gross now.
