By all the comments here, it looks like everyone really loved being able to see people start a raid and even help/find canmates that way. I wish Bungie would make that possible again.

Sadly, they can’t do it anymore. This took a ton of hardware limitations- going from a public area to a huge raid with only six people was complicated, programming and memory wise. They couldn’t really fit much extra stuff into that patrol zone after the raid, and that’s why they don’t have any more ‘open’ raid entrances.

RIGHT? I mean, I get that Bungie wants to curate each encounter of their Raids, but this random-ness was just too cool of an experience.
