Bungie will release a free version of Destiny 2 called New Light, containing the base game, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind, on October 1, so you will only need to purchase Shadowkeep if you want to play the Shadowkeep content.
Starting September 17, anyone who owns Forsaken will get the Forsaken Annual Pass for free, so if you want to play the Forsaken story line or get access to the Black Armory, Reckoning, or Menagerie activities, you'll only to buy Forsaken, which will be $25 when it goes on sale through Steam.

On September 17, everyone who owns Forsaken will get the Forsaken Annual Pass (included in the Forsaken Complete Collection) for free. The Forsaken Complete Collection is currently priced at $25 on Xbox and PSN, and will cost $25 when it launches on Steam. Forsaken won't be available to purchase again on PC until it launches on Steam on October 1, but you can continue playing it until that date through Battle.net if you already own it.
