Unable to recover old Bungie profile associated with XBL.

Good evening, Essentially I went to the email that I was sent to get the BattleNet account moved over and it had me create an additional Bungie profile with my Steam Account. After they were linked I attempted linking in my XBL account to it which has had a Bungie.net profile associated with it for well over a decade now and a TON of information on it. Well lo and behold that profile just somehow disappeared and I have attempted doing everything in the https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12130 article including un-linking the XBL account from authentication and re-logging into it. My Microsoft account information has not changed since it was created so I know 100% it is the correct account and still even have my old data from Destiny 1 associated on my XBL account. My issue is that when I attempt going back in with the XBL account to sign in to Bungie.net as a new user, there is NO option for account recovery and in fact it doesn't say anything about any pre-existing account which is extremely disconcerting. I am really hoping a member of support will get in contact with me to resolve this as there are no pieces of documentation on the help forum that can fix this. I am quite vexed that a decade+ Bungie profile with all associated data is now in limbo due to a bug in the system. EDIT: I found that the old account is not deactivated/deleted yet: https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/254/463162/THE%20DUDE%20xD I do, however, need it merged with this current account (or vice versa, merging the current account authentications with the original account since I have them all under the same email.) Regards. ~TDx (THE DUDE xD)

 • Hey there. To access this Bungie account, it has to have a platform account attached to it (ex. an Xbox account). To do this, the platform you want to attach to the Bungie account cannot be linked to another Bungie account. Open an incognito window (important!) and click "Join Up" to create a new account, and use the platform account credentials that were originally linked to the Bungie account to log into the site. Once you do this, the Bungie account should appear with the option to "Recover" it. Click it to complete the account reclamation process. All that being said, this is an advanced procedure and there is limited support for it, so if you can't recover the account there is nothing more than can be done as we don't have the ability to force links between accounts. You can find more information about how to possibly recover this account in our Bungie.net Account Creation, Linking and Recovery article.
