Personally feel like the time they've put into these could have been better used elsewhere.
Like yeah some of them look kinda cool, but how practical are they going to be?
For what they're worth I'd rather not have them and the time have been invested in things like better armour designs and better weapon designs.
Anyone else feel they're going to be a waste?

It was probably just another idea for eververse as other animations will be sold by eververse.
-
3 RepliesGimmick and waste of time/resources. Unless they've already said otherwise I bet new finishers will be sold via Eververse. Just another easy way to tap into people's wallets.

3 RepliesEdited by vmondude: 9/4/2019 9:09:09 AMYup it’s all just extra glitter to polish up the D2 turd. The games screwed to its core and they know it, so they’re just hanging decorations instead of rebuilding. Biding their time and raking in the money from the gullible, to pay for D3 development

Heavy Ammo > Anything else if I'll be honest, I get more use out of it

Edited by souldcode: 9/4/2019 2:17:49 PMPersonally, I think “look” accounts for 30-40% of the problems with D2 Forsaken. Even with my TV in game mode display, the games had a film-like overlay. I think it unnecessarily bloats the size of the game on consoles. If people want that kind of finish overlaying game display, they can choose it on their tv. Everyone else using game mode expect to lose that refinement for improved performance. Lag is already a problem in general. No need to make it worse. I also think animations suffer greatly from the resulting lag. I can already hear the angst from people dying after starting their finish, which appears to be the longest animation yet. Great idea, but the game isn’t ready for it.

The mods that the finishers proc will be worth it but still feel the finisher gimmick is not needed
-
6 Repliesits said that finishers (without that one heavy brick mod) will give bonus super if done on enemies, so glory kills are kind of useful in a sense

3 RepliesEdited by US Reaper x: 9/3/2019 11:43:07 PMThis is an awesome addition to the game. One of the most exciting/hype moments of Halo that I remember playing split screen with my friends back in the day is when you snuck up behind to assassinate an opponent. This is going to bring about a similar feel. Plus they are adding builds where finisher moves can grant overshield, generate ammo, etc. which will make finisher moves a pivotal part in many builds.

1 ReplyI can imagine it being more of a hindrance in endgame content, a bit like how you could execute doomed titans in Titanfall, I died so many times in team scenarios because of teammates trying to get the executions instead of just playing the game properly.
-
1 ReplyFinishers were very satisfying in Age of Conan but I do not see how they will be useful in this game. I am guessing only shotgun users and titans will be using them in PvP, unless there will be ranged versions.
-
2 RepliesThe worst part about it, is that Bungle probably thinks those Everworst Finisher skins are gonna sell like crazy.
-
5 RepliesBeen asking for assassinations since Destiny 1 . Dream come true for me!
-
1 ReplyR they gonna be usable in the crucible?
-
2 RepliesI just wonder if they lock you in animation. Don't want to get stuck in some fancy-pants finisher in PvP..
-
It's just a flashy thing to bring in revenue. Revenue pays for content and bandwidth. Personally, I don't need or want them. However, if fools want to buy them I don't care.
-
Not going to know until I’ve tried them.
-
3 RepliesWaste of time to bother using in my opinion. I hardly ever assassinate in Halo because of being locked in animation. Big target, no thanks.
-
10 RepliesIt's another revenue stream, they will work their arses off on stuff like that.
-
A lot of opinions which is fine and all, reserving mine until I get to actually use them.
-
I think it’s rather cheesy. It wasn’t needed, the time and effort for that could have went to something else.
-
Yeah I’d prefer they spend time making new planets and story and enemies. Or at least adding to PvP new maps and modes. More throwaway gimmicky crap.
-
4 RepliesTheir not gonna work in crucible so all the hype i had for these finishing moves went down the drain.
-
It's a microtransaction creation, nothing more. That being said, I'll probably get burned for one or two.
-
Edited by Delta6ix: 9/4/2019 12:45:25 PMYes, they have perks...but they don't seem worth the super energy. Especially when the enemy's health has to be so low, you can spit on them and kill them. Crucible for some, this would have been extremely fun to use! But thats was a no-go from Bungie.
-
9 RepliesYep. As soon as I saw they use super energy I knew I would never touch them.
-
2 RepliesI mean battle pass....finishers...apex legends anyone?
