Personally feel like the time they've put into these could have been better used elsewhere.
Like yeah some of them look kinda cool, but how practical are they going to be?
For what they're worth I'd rather not have them and the time have been invested in things like better armour designs and better weapon designs.
Anyone else feel they're going to be a waste?

they are only being added for future microtransactions

Edited by DownyKitten: 9/4/2019 11:01:22 PMCould have used those manhours to, i dunno, make new models for raid gear for ShadowKeep?
-
Just another thing that they will try to sell as MTX.
-
If they were not eververse, I would be 100% okay with them
-
No one: Bungie: here’s finishing moves for your Guardian. Joking aside, I’m sure it will look and feel cool at times, but if it was up to me I’d address the many issues plaguing the game first.
-
It is/was being made to sell more cosmetic stuff. sure they might offer some different gameplay elements but honestly it just feels like something made to make money in the future
-
Like all of destiny they will have their moments Looking forward to the first raid boss taken down with just finishing moves
-
I would rather see them investment in vendor refreshes and raid armor
-
Eh. I don't mind them. If they make some cool and flashy ones then I'll be all for it, but the ones shown look kinda meh.
-
Yeah I agree
-
They add a new element of fun/utility to the game. I'm totally fine with it.

9 RepliesPlus it takes half of your super.

Edited by Otsdarva-V2: 9/4/2019 7:32:13 PMI love using Execution in Titanfall 2......but if they used energy from my UAn(Ultimate)....not so much. Going to the perk of Executions give heavy at the cost of all your super.....that shit better give a full refill to mag and rrserves.
-
You know there are perks for using them... right?
-
Can’t see myself using finishing moves outside of patrol
-
I haven't seen actual movements in game (yet), but judging by videos - those are... slowed down and dedicated parts of existing animations. At least titan's are (yes, I stuck several times with animation phase similar to at least one finisher). I may be wrong, but given level of recycle we see, I wouldn't be surprised.
-
Bet you the boss will still be able to knock us back 30 feet. Our finishing moves should knock THEM back!
-
You deserve this. 1000 sparrows, ghosts, ships. Now those finishers.
-
The warlock one is just a wind up and levitation The titan one is just a better animated punch The hunter one is the only one that seems to even have had work put into it
-
I think the perk which drains super for heavy should allow you to finish elite level and lower ads from full health. Otherwise blueberries will just finish them off and you'll be super frustrated.
-
I think emotes are so saturated that they needed a new animation mode to draw up interest at eververse.
-
More stuff for eververse
-
4 RepliesThey do have a gameplay component Finisher mods add an extra utility to your kit. One mod drops heavy ammo for all at the cost of half your super. They are not solely vanity and nor do you have to buy into it, yes there will be new 'combat emotes' (what bungo called the animation) in the eververse, but only the animation. The mods are all in game. Yes they are good addition to the game Looking forward to seeing builds using finishers as a support function to a team

Makes sense for the assassinations in Hali. But here it seems pretty stupids it’ll wear out
-
When I think about devs "spending time doing other stuff", outside of the main story add-ons and cosmetics, I think about the idea of different abilities or tools that could be added in order to spice up the variety of actions my character can preform. So this is a nice add-on if you ask me. I've longed for a nice finishing move component to be added since Destiny released, similar to the assassinations provided in later Halo titles.

1 ReplyI for one will be highly disappointed if I can't use the Stone Cold Stunner as a finishing move. I'll settle for Sweet Chin Music though
