Personally feel like the time they've put into these could have been better used elsewhere.
Like yeah some of them look kinda cool, but how practical are they going to be?
For what they're worth I'd rather not have them and the time have been invested in things like better armour designs and better weapon designs.
Anyone else feel they're going to be a waste?

The novelty will wear off pretty soon.

assasinations in Halo Reach were incrediblely fun, I took finishers to quite frankly be an evolution of it. Also the fact they give gameplay bonuses? I would MUCH rather have cool ass combat moves/more unique things to customize then just my gear. Now I actually get to customize how my guardian kicks ass, AND change things from a gameplay perspective. That's great. Things like finishers remind me of Halo when you could hijack vehicles, get amazing assasination animations, etc. Besides, and this is important, game developers have different teams for different things. Them creating finishers didn't take away from armor/weapon design, raid design, etc. Those are independent teams.

People these days are easy to please. And it concerns me 😞

FINISH HIM... FATALITY!
-
Absolutely yes. I don't see why we need them at all...
-
Feels like they tried to copy apex legends with the finishers, and fortnite with the battle pass, I’m a little sceptical about this direction of the game but we will wait and see I suppose, I feel like the game is becoming a bit of a Frankenstein and loosing a bit of its character, hopefully they can finally start working some story progression into the destiny universe instead of all this side quest story telling bull

Going to be interesting to see how it works in PVP.
-
3 RepliesAgreed. It's a bit of a gimmick that people will probably get bored of very quickly.
-
I felt like it is a gimmick that they are trying to push on players. It's not needed, and feels out of place. I'm not a fan of uncontrolled animations while trying to play a game. I wonder if this was purposed by the same person who green lit dual wielding smgs in Halo 2.... lol
-
Just something else to nerf..... if they're even worth a shit.
-
1 ReplyIt would be hilarious if you can take damage while executing a finisher just to die instantly after the animation is over 😂
-
4 RepliesWell they can do cool stuff like refilling grenade energy, or spawning heavy bricks, so they’re alright in my book

Edited by Kemson_: 9/4/2019 8:10:56 PMI would rather like to see PVP fixed ...
-
1 ReplyThey are just a cut copy paste from doom
-
1 ReplyIf I wanted to see finishing moves, I'd play Mortal Kombat or Gears of War.
-
Umm... Finishing moves? In Destiny?? I’m confused 😐 (Sorry haven’t had a chance to play since reset this week!)
-
They look nice but they put to much effort into them. I would of been fine with assassinations from halo. But I don't know how getting heavy from one will work in PvP.
-
3 RepliesNot sure if this has been detailed or not, but was wondering if I am vulnerable during the finisher animation? If so, I’ll never use them. No need to get killed just to look cool.
-
2 Repliespeople in strikes rarely use their super so id imagine they'll rarely use finishers either. would rather they would have added more weapons and armor to planetary vendors.
-
Until it's released, discussing whether it's a waste of time is more of a waste of time. 👍
-
Is going to be fun for the first week then die out
-
1 ReplyJust wait until they come out and see some of the mod bnuses that you can use with them. Like the Heave drop for team mod is going to change many modes like Gambit or Raid encounters that are long enough that you could run out of heavy easily
-
3 RepliesI saw this kind of thing first in Bungie’s halo reach and it was awesome, it got you killed at times but that feeling never gets old when you pulled it off. Still won’t buy shadowkeep until reviews are out and the infusion system is fixed.
-
9 RepliesIt will require heavy ammo....
-
Nah I think they’re pretty cool, really liked the assassination from halo reach
-
they are only being added for future microtransactions
