You're not buying anything other than the right to play their game for 3 months. Kind of like renting a movie or a piece of equipment for a short amount of time. Relax.

It's an utterly ridiculous system, asking you to pay after theyve removed the previous seasons activity. I'd have no problem if we bought Shadowkeep and that was me good for the year. Then charge for the battle pass (cosmetics only) , that way no one is being screwed. Charging people for replacement content is just wrong, no matter how it's presented. And again, if we're now renting content that should have been made clear before any pre-orders were made available.

I don't know if you are a D1 vet, but they began the game (back when so many like to think Destiny was at it's best) with content that simply rotated out. The Wolves descending from House of Wolves were, I thought, genuinely fun and made the game feel like it was actually keeping pace with the story. Then, when they were gone, it maintained that feeling of being narratively appropriate and no one missed them more than for nostalgia's sake. Look, all I'm saying is that this isn't an unprecedented move. Like it, don't like it, whatever. Just, please, keep in mind we're only playing in their world and always have been. Don't propagate the myth that this is in anyway comparable to buying an actual physical product. That's all. Cheers.

Edited by Peloquinsoul: 9/2/2019 6:55:43 PMYeah I've been playing since the d1 alpha. The blades of Crota and the wolves are not even remotely comparable to what is being removed. I don't think anyone would mind the equivalent of what is now a high value target, being removed. We're talking about something like the menagerie. Which was the main piece of content for this season. Whether it's a physical disk or not, we're paying for content. Up until now I would have access to all previous content at any point, so don't act like their I sent precedent for expecting things to stay. It's not a myth, it's how the game worked until this point.
