If Content we pay for is going to be removed at the end of every Season, then future Seasons need to be completely free like Warframe. Bungie makes enough revenue with Eververse to make up the difference to fund content. Not to mention the millions Bungie gets from the Chinese Company called NetEase. If Seasons are free from Shadowkeep on out, then temporal content won’t be an issue cause nobody is losing money. Taking our money only to take our Content away after the Season, is in a way theft. This decision of Bungie with temporal content wouldn’t sit well with the Better Business Bureau since they take our money and the activities that we paid good money for.

"Taking our money is in a way theft." ... What? Look, if you hate Bungie's guys for their new system, then fine, more power to you, but it is, in NO way, theft. That's actually among the most nonsensical sentences I've read in my entire life. They have told us months ahead of time what they're planning to do. They've laid out their plans and told us what to expect. If you buy it, you know well beforehand that some content will be removed. That is not even REMOTELY close to theft. You buy it, it's on you.

Read your terms of service agreement and license agreement. Bungie can do what they please with their game.
-
Because they are greedy. I can almost guarantee that the whole point of removing this content at the end of a season is to pressure players into buying it so that they don’t miss out. It honestly makes me sad to see how far bungie has fallen.
-
Considering how Fornite model works and its being aplied to Destiny 2 since forsaken, i think it won't :/
-
Not trying to defend Bungle, never would, but the NetEase money is long gone. NetEase gave them $100M and they spent between $100-140M buying back publishing rights from Activision.
-
I will not be spending any more on this title, especially on content that has an actual shelf life. The fact that they think removing content that was paid for is sustainable gives you all the info you need on a bungie lead destiny experience. All hype, all the time, for diminishing and shrinking content options... yay destiny...

You cannot have a 300gb game file... So you have to cut something at some point otherwise there won't be any room left to add stuff. Especially since they are wanting to lean more towards one ongoing game instead of launching a new game every couple years. I personally wish they would drop the crazy amounts of ships and sparrows and emotes and other totally useless items that waste space. Could also drop story missions at the end of each season. Would also be fine with less weapons/armor and focus more on an ability to customize them. Everyone complains about reskins anyways (Although, at this point, you cannot really have some crazy unique weapon since we are several years into the game and it's all been done already) That way we can keep strikes and pvp maps and hopefully they'll make some good raids so they're worth keeping too.

It takes money to make content 🙄
-
at very least identify it as limited time content visible before purchase.
-
Anyone else find it ironic that the new light free demo is perfecty fine to stay in game but the new content you pay full price for has to disappear?
-
We don't pay for content we pay for access to content. The BBB wouldn't care less that they are going to a format that they rotate seasonal content. They stated the loot will drop from other places after the season is done. If they continue on the path they are going they will have far to many milestones for power gear on the director kinds like now. Plus it's overwhelming to new players on what content to play what content is relevant... I can totally see why they are going this way and have no issues with it. But before you go calling the BBB you might wanna read up on you tos cause you apparently have no clue what it says haha

Destiny started out as this huge community of players roaming around the stars, fighting monsters with friends in this vast RPG looter shooter. (Fast forward 4 years) We have fortnite season passes and you're going to the moon because ghost........... I swear bungie wtf happened? Like be real with me. Whats up? Im going to keep my $60 and wish you the best.

NetEase invested into Bungie the company, not Destiny the game. From all reports, it’s an investment for new, non Destiny IP’s.
-
Or just outright make the game playable without the content and allow the people who actually can afford the storage space to keep it installed.
-
Temporal - relating to time. "the spatial and temporal dimensions of human interference in complex ecosystems" synonyms: of time, time-related "spatial and temporal boundaries" I get what you’re saying. Just not sure you’re using the proper wording. Temporary seems more apropos.

NetEase put up 100 million in Bungie. It's an investment, not a grant.

Edited by STiNKyWizLTeaTs: 8/25/2019 9:11:56 PMYou need to realize how much this industry actually costs. $100mil goes very fast and wouldn't last Bungie a year or even close to that. Also, when you buy the DLC you are buying the right to play it, but you still do not own anything. Outside of taking all the pre order money, closing up shop and moving to Thailand, Bungie can do just about anything they want to do. That does not mean I agree with it. I think Bungie actually sees that they have to work now and they have the "deer in headlights syndrome"

I want to know what content is gonna be temporary so I won't buy it..
-
If they need to take things out to make room take out all the old campaign stuff that nobody plays anymore, problem solved.
-
Because they are making it clear that what you are paying for is going away, it isn’t really anyone’s fault but the consumer. But yeah, they need to be very clear what is and isn’t going because if it is a substantial amount of content, it should be really cheap or even free depending on the severity. It is already quite cheap if I remember: $10 per season? I hope they clarify what exactly that money gets you.
-
Theft lmao You ppl are funny, I'll give you that
-
I love how people seem to know exactly what Bungies financial records look like lol...or how the business even works in the first place. Goodness gracious.
-
technically we arent buying, we are renting according to the liscense. doesnt mean i like it.
-
As long as any new guns and armor stay obtainable after the season, it's not going to bother me.
-
Each season is worth 10 dollars, and for all we know only certain parts of it will be temporary, meaning you aren't spending much money at all on content that is going away. Along with that, eververse already goes to making free content. That's the point of eververse. Bungie uses eververse money to pay people to make free content.
