It causes some people (including myself) to be physically sick if used for more than a few minutes.

Edited by Notrix: 9/24/2019 4:16:23 AMI love this weapon... well, I want to love this weapon. It’s such a cool concept and being exotic with max stability it should be better the any other as far as recoil goes yet it’s feels like going to the toilet with Parkinson's when trying to shoot anything outside of shotgun range. With autos being buffed in SK this gun can get relevant again. It would be sad to see it in this trash state till the end of D2, especially with the other Y1 guns like Sunshot and SB finally getting some love. Right now any decent auto with zen moment trounces it.
-
How Bungie has managed to avoid this addressing this issue even going back to the D1 days, is beyond me.
-
For an exotic it’s damage is lack lustre too I agree the shake is horrendous and taking enemies at range is not passable even with it’s ok range stat
-
LOVE IT I have chronic epilepsy, and I play Sitting in a fold up Chair. when I play with that gun and get seizures, I look like a human transformer. IT'S FUN
-
The nausea aside, I find the recoil makes the infinite range redundant, because if your first shot is all that's going to hit, and you want damn near infinite range, go get Graviton Lance.
-
You forget it has zero “0” damage falloff so it could easily cross map without the shake It’s a balance thing infinite rang/terrible control
-
It shreds if you know what to do. I have it equipped right now and just popped some leftover motion sickness pills and washed them down with a beer. I'm feelingbjgfy j7srt fine he ahgahahaaaa
-
Or how about make throwing knives viable for once. Like how all the other classes have one hit abilities other then the hunters, so make liars handshake work with throwing knife to get one hit kills. Its pretty balanced as well as you need to be meleed once by a opposing player or get one melee hit to proc it.
-
No give it more. It barely moves. It's a freakin lazer.
-
I have never been able to use that gun.
-
then don't use it. i think we all can recognize that a gun with no damage drop off needs some countermeasure to make it less effective over range. what else but recoil to meditate the range. otherwise, we might just be in a hard light meta and i don't think my little heart can take that. that's when we can start saying we've seen it all.
-
Edited by InTheZone: 8/23/2019 11:45:26 PMsince the gun is already weak and has a ridiculous amount of screen shake, I say we need to nerf its range, add more shake, and drop ricochet damage by 50%
-
How does light have recoil?

It needs to go. Everyone thinks it's going to be op because of it not having any range drop off like it'll out shoot a sniper rifle, and that just isn't going to happen. The catalyst provides a useless stat boost and it still bounces around. On the off chance it became op, chopping it's recoil direction to 60 or even 50 would probably put it back in line. The real change i want to see it the ui updated to show it as having max range
-
I think this effect was intentional due to it having no damage drop-off. Had to throw a hard negative in there to make you want to use it with the punishment applied. 🤷♂️ The result is joypuke. 🤮
-
Couldn’t agree more. Even with the catalyst that almost maxes its stability the thing jumps around like mad. Such a shame, great looking, sounding and fun weapon. Hope this gets the attention it needs.
-
I don't use it because of the screen shake.
-
I have the Hard Light catalyst and i just can't bring myself to ever use the weapon. The difference after the catalyst being applied was minor and it didn't help make the weapon more satisfying to me. I would rather use Jötunn or Telesto in place of the seizure auto rifle. I would check it out again if they got rid of the screen shake, but i tend to prefer my Kinetic, Special and Heavy loadout D1 style.
-
Agreed this gun is absolutely nauseating to use. Always has been. Sadly probably always will be. I thought getting masterwork done would help......... nope!
-
I thought they adjusted this months ago?
-
agree it does make me ill as well i feel like im about to pass out
-
Agreed 100% I've skydived, raced cars on track, been passenger in a race car, working on pilots license. Yet hardlight STILL makes my eyes hurt from following the shaking objects. Resulting in a mild headache.

Edited by OnlineDude2095: 8/23/2019 12:01:31 AMGotta disagree. If they remove that it wouldn't be exotic. Gotta downvote this sorry. The major shaking of my controller and the vomit on my clothes makes the weapon exotic. Can't have that in other games.
-
Well definitely don't use it. For the rest of us, those who don't get sick, the shake still sucks ass and needs to GO. I mean seriously, we're talking about the difference between the gun actually getting used sometimes vs. NEVER GETS USED.
-
the problem is it has 0 damage falloff so if you make it have no shake along with no recoil with the catalyst you would be able to melt people at any range without being stopped and then it would be nerfed ;-;
