Destiny 1 remake inside Destiny 2
I am a PC player and I just played Destiny 2.
Like a lot of other players like me, I'd really like to be able to play Destiny 1. But like many other players I don't want to buy a console, pay a fullprice just to play on empty servers. (Don't get me wrong, I am willing to pay full price for the game, but if I do, I want some other people in the game.)
So I thought about it and I would really like it if D1 was implemented into D2 (like a DLC). So its on the engine of D2 and availeble via the director or something. I dont mean copying the whole game, but the story missions, the Raids and some weapons (they'd probably need some adjustments).
I know this is not just Copy & Paste. I know this is almost impossible, bcs the games use different engines and both of them are exclusive to Bungie what makes outsourcing almost impossible. But that would be the only possible solution, bcs If Bungie did it by themself it would take 1 or 2 years without any other content, and thats not worth it.
It was just a thought, a wish. Whatever.
Let me know if you agree with me or not.
EDIT: in NO way I would want this instead of new D2 content. I just wish there was a way to make this happen, I know that its probably not gonna happen. again, was just a thought.

8 RepliesIf this engine wasn’t trash, then I’d be 100% down for this. D2 simply can’t handle this, especially on console; and I don’t think even the next generation consoles will help. Fact is, if we ever wanna see a Destiny that encompasses content from Destiny, it may need to come in the form of a Destiny 3.

They cant even keep up with the massive issues the game has now and they could barely keep up when activision and its other 2 studios were doing all the heavy lifting. Attempting to basically port D1 into D2 would shut the game down. They cant even add pocket infinity because it causes the servers to completely crash. Thats why theyre having to remove content once SK launches. Itll save them 90% of the work involved in making full content and save them the trouble of having to bother with updates, patches, and hotfixes while also banking them free $ for absolutely nothing. No thanks, if i wanna play D1 ill just load it up, no need to have them ruin it too

If they truly want a single evolving world, I think this should happen

If Bungie would remaster everything from D1 but using current armor and weapon mod system and sell it as a stand alone Destiny game, I would buy it. They could call it Destiny 1.5 or Destiny 1 : Directors cut
