*I walk over to the webbed off bridge and begin to look around, studying the webs.*
It’s either I’ve been playing way to much D&D and watching to much stranger things, or something is seriously wrong here.
English
-
*The webs are foreign. Thick strands block the way. You notice several small figures scuttle around in the cold fog.*
-
*I try to cut a bit of the webs off of the bridge to get a sample of the webbing then I quickly go and try to follow the figures.*
-
*Excalibur slices through the webs like it would a normal one. Thick strands in a crisscross unorganized fashion block the way. At the sight of your glowing blade the figures have disappeared.*
-
*I sheath the blade and draw a simple knife to try to cut through these webs.* Hello? Who’s out there?
-
*You receive no reply except the biting wind. The webs are strong, but with some difficulty you cut through some.*
-
Excalibur would be easier here but no, I can’t use it. *I continue onward through the fogs and webs, looking for anyone.*
-
*You look ahead, chopping a path through the webs. As you reach the middle of the bridge you hear something. With fast reflexes you turn to face 5 small jet-black spiders with white eyes jump at you from above!*
-
*I throw down the dagger and draw Excalibur, stepping backwards, hoping I have enough room to step back without getting caught in the web.* Ahh giant spiders, haven’t seen one of these in a while.
-
(Giant? you ain't seen nothin yet) *The spiders leap on you, and try to tangle you with webs* *You have enough space behind you to not be caught in webs*
-
(Oh trust me, I’ve spoken to you in drow I like the lore of D&D, especially the underdark. I’ve seen quite some big spiders and even bigger webs.) *I lunge at it bringing my sword back and stabbing underneath it.*
-
*You slice one clean in half! The others are spinning webs around your ankles, but one is crawling on your back*
-
*I jump to the ground, trying to crush the one on my back with my weight, while slashing Excalibur in a wide swipe at the others. I also pick up the dagger in my left hand in case I need it.*
-
*You smush the one on your back and knock the others off. You can see that they almost webbed your feet together. You grab your knife, and think you notice something odd in front of you but brush the thought away as the spiders scream and move to attack again*
-
*I raise Excalibur to ward off any attacks while I saw at the webs in my feet with the dagger to try to get myself free.*
-
*You free your feet, and the light of Excalibur briefly reflects off their eyes before the go screaming off into the town. The fog covers their escape. Only a few feet of webs to go.*
-
Wait, this is called operation dark water. I think this song would be fitting for the mysterious, eerie setting of this place. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H-2XJftVQWM
*I cut myself free and carry on, wanting to stop the spiders from reaching any villager.*
-
*SilencerSix appears behind you. "Sup" He looks at one of the dead spiders.*
-
“Oh hi, the spiders are heading towards the village, we should get moving.”
-
*You slice through the remaining webs. You see a dim light not too far off.* (This music is perfect. Editing it in now.)
-
(The greatest thing is it is from a D&D video game and that part is in the underdark. But I know of a bunch of good D&D and RP music from that game series if you ever need more.) *I rush ahead to the light, looking out for spiders.*
-
*You approach the light. It's the welcome sign to visitors. A clearly dead person has been cocooned above it. You see no spiders...*
-
Great, they’ve already got here. *I look for any villagers and cut the dead body down, trying to unwrap the cocoon.*
-
*No villagers in sight. As you cut down the body, you see many figures scurry around, and then a large (6 ft tall) spider and a bunch of small ones attack you!*
-
*I take out my shield, and try to back the spiders away from the villagers.*
-
(The only villager around is dead.) *The large spider leaps onto your shield, as 10 small ones spin webs at your feet.*
