Don't worry, EA just made $170 timed cosmetics a thing. Bungie are the good guys though they definitely won't follow suit. "What are you poor?" "Bungie needs the money." "The games free to play now!" "It doesn't even affect gameplay." This is what you get for supporting any microtransactions.

  • Except certain ornaments actually affect gameplay.

  • While technically true, but only as edge cases, in very small ways. 1) Barrel length changes can give shotguns few centimeters more range. (All weapons can get more range, but getting 10cm more range is only going to matter and to be noticeable (very very slightly) on shotguns. …E.g. same range increase would be much more noticeable on a dick - just saying…) 2) Weapon model changes could give you better gun sights. But that is pretty much about aesthetics. PS. I agree with the OP. I too think that the silver prices are somewhat high. But they aren’t excessive (for your average well-to-do person in high GDP countries). PPS. There aren’t any shotguns with silver-only ornaments.

  • Yeah I get your point but I'm just saying and like you said there is a few game play changes may not be a lot but even a little can make a big diffrence. Ex an inch extra on a dick can go a long ways. But yeah I don't agree with the prices for a lot of the stuff. 10 bucks for an ornament or an emote is a bit excessive.

  • We got the Outbreak Perfected quest for supporting MTX, just saying.

Just lol. We got one single quest in exchange for allowing basically all non-combat rewards to be filtered through the cash shop. Really makes you wonder how they managed to make four planets, a handful of exotics quests, a half dozen dungeons, and one raid for just $60. Seems something weird happened with the 'my money to content' conversion rate.

  • You got a free exotic gun because I bought some ornaments. Is that a little easier for you to understand?

Pat yourself on your back all you want, loser. You were fleeced and got a few pixels in return and then Bungie went "how can we justify taking all their cosmetic customization away?" and then pretended all the mtx paid for one single mission worth of content. You were duped!

  • Lol fleeced. If you think spending $10 is getting “fleeced” then I feel sorry for you.

So you went from "I single handedly financed this whole mission" to "I just spent $10, honest!" Nevermind the part where you spent $10 on an asset swap. Yeah, you got fleeced. -blam!- off, clown.

  • So salty over a cosmetic store in a video game lol. Me, and players like me who bought the ornaments helped fund the Zero Hour mission which was a free event that gave you an exotic gun plus its catalyst. But you keep being salty over having the option to pay for cosmetics with real money or in-game currency. I’m sure your opinion counts ;).

"Bro, I got ripped off optionally. I could have not been scammed but I CHOSE to be! Just be grateful I'm financing this one mission. Forget how the base game and it's dlc is $200; I'm the only one paying for these cosmetics so you should be thanking ME." Keep coping, clown.

  • Just saying that's the biggest pile of poop I have ever heard. You can only buy whisper ornaments if you have the gun......not everyone has it. Also work out how much people have spent in terms of the base game, dlcs and annual pass. If you honestly think mtx paid for a twenty minute one off mission, goodness me. Bungie have made so much money by making destiny a boxed release with dlcs, subscriptions, mtx, expansions and loot boxes. Not to mention all the collectors editions! Now take the Halo franchise, that made billions without eververse. Something just doesn't add up now does it 😊

Don’t argue with fanboys. They are so far up Bungie’s ass, they can’t see logic. The ornaments didn’t pay for shit. Luke smith is lying again. If he told me the sky is blue, I’d go outside to check. And even if it is true, one small dungeon only once per year for a D1 gun is such a terrible excuse for this shameless cash shop. What about the ornaments for thunderlord, thorn, last word & outbreak prime? What about all the paywalls emotes like the iron banner one, the cooking/dawning one, the dog one, the 3 arc related and others? What did we get for all those scams? Huh!? Certainly not our money’s worth for those of us who bought their many games, DLCs, expansions and passes. They strip paid-for content every single season.

  • So? That's actual content and funnily enough since Bungie left all halo content is free.

  •
We got the Outbreak Perfected quest for supporting MTX, just saying.
Yes. From Whisper ornament sales. That people will have bought because they used Whisper. Then Bungie nerfed Whisper (just like the D1 equivalent) months later after sales had dried up. I’d wager a lootbox or two the ornament sales wouldn’t have been as high if Whisper had the nerf’d specs when it was first available.

Yeah and now Whisper sucks. You believe that? They make it sound as if micros are supporting everything but not much about the money they get from people who bought the base game, the dlc's, the season pass, the annual pass. People need to stop making excuses for microtransactions. Game companies that already profit from selling the game and its dlc's dont need micros. Micros are becoming such a plague in the gaming industry. Eververse has gotten way more love and care than any other vendor in the game. Now they want to put it into the directory so its more in your face.
