You will get bright dust by completing bounties and playing the game when Shadowkeep launches. It could be better or worse depending on how you play the game on the amount of bright dust you can earn. Also you can dismantle all of you items worth bright dust now, I got 13k bright dust by doing this. When Shadowkeep launches I can buy them all back for legendary shards and glimmer if I need them again from collections.
