Wow. You know you are going to fracture the declining player base even more. Pinnacle power? Affinity? More of the have and the have nots....
You guys at bungie have lost it. Like lost it. Really lost it. There is nothing deep in this. Its grind and elitism. Awesome.
Yeah this director's cut is a communication fail. You dont know your players, you develop in a vacuum and the game sheds players.
Free to play (part of the game) and cross save wont save it.

It's so weird, on the one hand I completely agree and understand this post. But on the other hand I've been playing this game for so long on and off taking breaks for months at a time and no matter what I play I always find myself back on it. No other shooter I play can keep me from it. I'm gonna play Borderlands until Shadowkeep drops but I know I'll end up back on Destiny. It is just one of the most addictive games I've ever played in my 10 years of gaming (not super long to some I know) but the gunplay, movement, comical moments, idk there's just something about it that I will always want to keep playing and that's how they keep me coming back. Even though they do so many things wrong I still end up having fun. Although I will say I don't get to play as much as I used to and that is probably a contributing factor. But I get just enough time to maintain one character and that the content I do get to play doesn't get stale. Hopefully they find the balance again like they did in D1 near the end. Sorry for the long response I just feel like there's so much negativity on the forums lately but I feel like a lot of people in the same boat. It's not that the game is as great as it could be but I still think it's a great game or I don't see why I can't help but come back to it.

They will keep the shadows, of what Destiny players used to be. It’s all part of the “world without light”. Forsake the original players, keep the shadows. It’s making more sense by the day

It's not about elitist either, get over yourself. It's ok for dedicated players that like challenging content seperate themselves from everyone else. Casuals cry elitist but actually it's because they fill left behind.

I would pay $15 a month for story missions, strikes, and crucible maps- but Eververse is straight trash. It is absolutely a shortcut to revenue and its blatantly taken over this game. Every time I read that its what pays for content, I cant help but feel sorry for the person that thinks that its the only way to make a video game. A gullible consumer is a corporation’s favorite kind.

Imo this game has amazing storylines that are all left unfinished. It was hysterical when Datto got to ask questions during the Shadowkeep reveal and he kept asking about Uldren becoming a guardian- they kept telling him to focus on Shadowkeep. Like I said, really cool stories that just stop halfway through.

The difference, WoW is actually fun to play. D2 is just a grind.

I think these changes sound great but I like grinding. Sounds like the best parts of D1 year 1 is coming to the best version of Destiny. The game will be better than ever.
