Am I the only one that is thinking "why aren't you just going back to D1 armor?" I just do not understand how we take a system that was working and run away from it as fast as we can. Keep tripping over ourselves and then "OH WAIT, I GOT IT THIS TIME!"...No, you had it at the end of D1, GO BACK TO IT!!!!!
So, now we have even more resources we have to dump into armor, materials, glimmer, magic rocks, ascendant things, 20 pieces of wookie hair, what the hell are we doing? Mods have to match certain elements, enhanced mods aren't RNG in a RNG based game...MMO though, serious this time....
I've never seen a company over-complicate things and ruin their own work as much as Bungie does.

Yep. Sounds like things will get more convoluted and rigid.
-
I totally agree, they had it pretty spot on at the end of D1. I'm just bafelled by by it.
-
Hope they give us more consumable space when shadowkeep drops. 😳
-
This is spot on 👍
-
So overall, less in-game content that we can acquire just by playing the game without buying silver or using bright dust. More in-game content filling up Tess inventory Resources have been reduced Jack up the cost using resources ...and whatever else Bungie did to drag out the grand that is way overdone as it is and they are calling this fun?
😄
What's next, remove the concept of the game that is supposed to be a looter shooter? I mean we are just about at that point anyway.
-
The problem with sequels is that they are supposed to transcend and improve from it's predecessor. It has in some ways and it hasn't in others. We'll be okay. The mod system works and they brought back the old stats back. I'll take this instead of leveling up each stat again. Just need to open up slots for custom mods now.

-
How do you know it's better. Have you played Shadowkeep? 🙄
-
It's from Bungie. Please show me the play testing and how they prevent op builds.
-
We don't know if it's better or not, my point is why go away from an already great system we had in D1? For all we know this next armor update will be pure crap, we have no clue. Honestly it seems like it's going to be a grindy mess with a bunch of different things you need to collect, you have to do pinnacle events for decent perks, etc. But, we shall see, my view is that we already had a good system...why not use that and put more resources into creating better content? Or balancing your mess of a PVP system?

Don’t live in the past so hard

Well, considering right after D2's launch everyone started saying "man, go back to D1's formula"..I'd say we are all there.
Well, considering right after D2's launch everyone started saying "man, go back to D1's formula"..I'd say we are all there.
Maybe so...but as rocky as it’s been, when Bungie makes major changes in fall releases, it’s always been exciting. Forsaken was brilliant and honestly saved the franchise.

High Moon produced the Forsaken.
-
They used the assets that Bungie created
-
Vicarious did this season. So the annual pass had bungie only working on the season of the drifter and which season is the worst received? People hated cores being added to infusion so now we have three new resources being added for armor upgrades. Do you honestly not see a problem with this?

Proof?
Proof?
The proof is common sense.

So you dont have proof. Okay 👍
So you dont have proof. Okay 👍
You’re a true moron. Congratulations

Taken King did also, notice the theme yet?

-
Different game?, recycled D1 locations, strikes, exotic weapons, bosses etc. At some point Venus from D1 will get the same treatment.
-
I’m currently thinking it will feel like a new game Or more accurately an old game with a new name
