Bungie Help: Armor 2.0 - Questions/Concerns

I kind of wish they'd make an official thread for it but, yeah, I'm a bit curious about some things. Firstly, I saw some people talking about something they weren't sure about and nobody had an answer so maybe this specific Q&A thread will get somebody's attention to elaborate on some of these. Feel free to share your questions or concerns about this in case this does get a response from Bungie. So, it was left uncomfortably vague about how some of these mods are going to work. One thing that I feel is a genuinely upsetting concern about these mods is the specific energy type needed for them. Is there an energy type for every mod or are some mods tied to a specific energy? What I mean by this is is there a Void Sniper/Shotgun/Hand Cannon Scavenger, Arc Sniper/Shotgun/Hand Cannon Scavenger and Solar Sniper/Shotgun/Hand Cannon Scavenger or is there just Void Sniper Scavenger and just Arc Shotgun Scavenger and just Solar Hand Cannon Scavenger? Do the armors now all drop with different energies or does each piece have a set energy? As in, does the new Scatterhorn Helm 2.0 drop with any energy as a random roll or would it always drop with, say, Arc? Both of these play a pretty major factor in grinding for armor. If the mods can have any energy and not just one set one, then it ultimately doesn't matter and we can get our armor as we please and build as we please. If Shotgun Scavenger only comes as Arc energy and/or the armor has set energy then it really makes it a pain and we are pretty much back to mixing and matching each piece we wear. It seems counter-intuitive if they placed those kind of limitations on the mods. There should be random rolls on the armor's energy when it drops and there should be an energy type for every mod. Another thing I'm not entirely sure about is who gets the Armor 2.0. Now, I'm sure that the armor and the mods are going to be part of a free update to the QoL of the game. I honestly can't imagine the new armor system would be behind a paywall. However, I am hoping to get some confirmation that the armor 2.0 system will be for everybody, whether they buy Shadowkeep or not, because there's a part of me that wouldn't be surprised if Bungie did put it entirely behind a paywall. They've done it before and they would, and probably will at some point, do it again. I don't mean things like new exotics and missions behind a paywall because, yeah, that's DLC specific content. But a QoL to armor should be for everybody as anybody who doesn't get it would be at a major disadvantage in every activity. Meaning that they would probably stop playing entirely. Those are just a few of my questions and concerns about what's happening with the Shadowkeep update. If anybody can answer them, whether somebody from Bungie or somebody that has a link or something to confirmation about these things, I and many others would greatly appreciate some clarity. Post your questions and concerns, too, as you never know which thread is going to get the right attention to put some minds at ease within the remaining community.
