• Consumers complaining about a company product makes the consumer look bad instead of the company? Did you get to wear a special hat at school with a big D on it, and stand in the corner to show everyone how special you were?

  • Destiny 2 is doing great, all reviews from business insider to Forbes and other sites like IGN, Gamespot are happy with D2. Majority of players are happy, the population of players and returning players were high this season. In this forums there is just complaints, not feedback or any suggestions. 1st it was remove cores, now it is remove Eververse lol

  • Oh yeah, bungies doing so well that they locked the majority of the event items in Eververse instead of into the event. As I already said down this thread, basic events like Crimson doubles had a MUCH bigger EARNED lootpool than this Solstice has. So WHY if they're doing so incredibly well are they putting everything into Eververse and not into the Solstice event?

  • Lol right, says the one who just completely ignored the question because you don't have an answer. So what if we can purchase it? Where's the event engram with earned rewards like EVERY other event? Why is there only 1 armour set and 1 rubbish legendary sparrow in a month long event when other (shorter) events featured multiples sets, weapons, ghost shells, sparrows, ornaments etc that you could earn by playing? Why are they aggressively pushing towards Eververse and making major alterations to earned cosmetic rewards if they're doing so well financially?

  • Not at all. Just because people don't like certain elements doesn't mean they don't enjoy other ones. Negative feedback should be the catalyst for improvement in multifaceted products like videogames. Is some of that feedback poorly presented and worded? Definitely. Does it render all negative feedback irrelevant because of it? Absolutely not.

But overwhelmingly immature toxic posts do hurt the credibility of well throughout and spoken critique. There’s a reason Bungie doesn’t often come around here

  • no yeah you look completely -blam!-, bungie at this moment and time is almost entirely relying on eververse and the success rate of shadowkeep....they NEED to promote eververse as much as they can to stay together.

  • If a AAA title studio is on the verge of collapse and the only thing holding it together is Eververse then they're already doomed because they can't manage money for doggydoodoo. Forcing cash shops in peoples faces and making boring grindfests doesn't encourage people to spend more or pre-order. Take a scroll through the forums and look at all the comments of people saying they're not going to pre-order Shadowkeep or buy anything from Eververse because they don't like the direction Bungie has been taking lately and they don't trust the content without seeing it first. This B/S is costing them money, not making it.

  • Quite clearly a reply to someone else who said
bungie at this moment and time is almost entirely relying on eververse and the success rate of shadowkeep....they NEED to promote eververse as much as they can to stay together.
What were you saying about toxic and immature posts again? And if Bungie is "perfectly fine" then why are they gating everything behind Eververse with this event? You know, the entire subject of this OP

  • Shadowkeep has nothing bad or wrong with it, looks like it's going in the right direction...so among that people shouldnt let their opinions on eververse judge their possible experience with Y3. I'm getting huge deja vu, people said they werent gonna buy forsaken and it turned out a huge success while it was relevent.

  • Key word 'LOOKS'. We have no idea what it's actually going to be like, but they've already stated they're changing how we get bright dust which is obviously going to ring alarm bells for people considering how much they've gated into eververse with this event. This coming AFTER they said they wouldn't make it eververse heavy after the 1st event got such poor reception. The style of grind in this event also has people worried that this is going to be the avenue they take with future content, a lot of people have not enjoyed the event or the style of grind. I'm hoping Shadowkeep fixes all the issues and is amazing, I WANT it to be amazing. But I also don't trust Bungie to deliver at this point because of what I've seen of them lately and I won't be pre-ordering because of it.

  • im hearing lots of good things about it, yet not the eververse. I want the eververse to change, yes...personally I don't like it too too much but I couldn't care less what they do with it, if I like something out of it I'll most likely buy it anyways. Bungie said they were taking a lot of community feedback for Shadowkeep, up to even "changing the PvP system entirely" and stuff like that so players can enjoy their time. I know this event isn't going to be the avenue Bungie will take judging off of last years Solstice and this years. They want Solstice to be the grindiest event of the year so players can flex their non-existing lives with all the stuff they get out of it.

There's absolutely F/A to get out of this event. It's 1 rubbish sparrow and 1 armour set per class where the only unique thing about it you have to purchase instead of earn... it's completely lackluster in terms of rewards... hell, Crimson Doubles had a better loot pool. Which all comes back to the OP thread, in that this event is just an Eververse advertisement and NOT a proper event. The majority of the unique event items are all in Eververse and NOT in the event

damn you got me there. What did Y1 Solstice offer tho? oh wait....the ability to get everything for free if you played it. You're slowly making me realize how far south this eververse thing is going. Edit: personally I like the armor so I guess my opinion is invalidating the other, great opinions people have. I mean you don't have to exactly PAY for the armor set, but again....to make it look cool is to go into the eververse, while in D1 the only cool thing that ever came out of the eververse were weapon ornaments and the taken armor. Now like every good item comes from the eververse....

  • It's all about balance, and this event has tipped the scales in the wrong way for a lot of people... Cash shops are a mainstream thing now, we're probably just all going to have to accept that. But having everything locked in there on a BUY TO PLAY title is going to turn a whole lot of people off, cosmetic items or otherwise. Hopefully they can see this was a mistake and make sure it doesn't happen again, but until then I'm holding off on buying anything until I know what I'm getting

damn right...I wouldn't care if there were mediocre eververse items and cool raid items like in D1, but by the looks of it...Bungie seems to only care about the eververse gear when it comes to...well...everything now..
