You know as food for thought that may or may not make it past 13-19 yo ears. Throwing insults at someone because they can’t simply “get good” has driven away more than half of Destiny’s population. And honestly it’s just not nice. This game can’t lose many more. Is population is anemic at best. Activision knew it Bungie knows it (see community summit just a short time after pre-order) yes when you play a game and constantly get your proverbial as.. handed to you it’s not so much in the fun department. And then come to forums and get circled by the teen piranha that now infest the forums (because that’s a good portion of what’s left) that’s one more great way to further decline the games populations. So maybe just maybe give that a thought. Before you decide to tear someone down.

It might be a good idea to look at the ACTUAL player base numbers before making claims about how "anemic" it is.

Do you think they did this because preorder sales were amazing? Do you think activision gave up on a 10 year half billion dollar contract because destiny was crushing it? No. Now I realize most here love the game were it’s at but it’s a pale comparison to what it was. Whether you like it or not.

Ummm what? Lol monthly players base is at over 900k at the moment. You realize these forums barley make up 1% of Destiny players right? Try heading over to reddit, it’s night and day and you barley come across toxic people like that

Do you have any idea what population was 3 years ago? 900,000 is truly nothing for a AAA game. And those numbers are inflated as it is. Destiny was into the millions. I realize of course those here and still playing love the game and where it is at. However they are in fact the smallest piece of the pie as it were. And you and I could sit here and talk numbers until we are blue in the face. But if this game keeps pushing the way it is going.....at any rate time will tell what happens next. But the signs point to struggling.

It's a franchise that is 5 years old. You expect it to maintain millions of players over that time? The best game in history can't do that. Wanna talk about bad player numbers? Go look at what it was before forsaken, looks like they are doing something right to get that number back up again.
