I just realized that 21% Delirium is ironic as we take in around us 21% Oxygen. So to say 21% Delirium for a Machine Gun (LMG) is a statement by Drifter that life in itself is a delusion. Almost like saying that “hey, I’m a doomsday prepper sure but I’m just as crazy as everyone else around me.”
Kinda funny as Oxygen is the Vanguard Pinnacle weapon. So these are almost contrasting weapons from season of the Drifter. Especially with the whole choice between Drifter or Vanguard. Oxygen is a statement we are all alive and just living. It is what it is.
So I just figured this out... I’m probably overthinking it and I noticed that not a single Lore guy has made these connections. But I’m not even half way.

3 RepliesIm a Divemaster, so I've always looked at it like 21% Delirium means Oxygen toxicity, or that Oxygen is toxic. Basically implying that life itself is toxic. Which goes along with his whole philosophy of trust no one, everyones your brother till the rent comes due, attitude. I love Drifter. And to your point the two weapons are at odds with each other. Or maybe..just had a thought.. Maybe its called Delirium because you need Oxygen, but too much of a good thing is too much.
