Cheaters and laggers

Bungie, please start banning players for cheating. Also something needs to be done about players with horrible internet connections. As far as I’m concerned that’s as bad as cheating. I played a game where this Titan was completely invisible except for a portion of his helmet. Kind of like when you don’t fully spawn into a game only this guy was like that the whole game. On top of that he had the most kills on his team by a long shot and messaged me to get gud and that I’m salty because I suck. So I told him I was reporting him for cheating. The next game he was visible but he still wasn’t taking proper damage and he was running through walls then he would appear in a different spot where he’d kill me again. This is unacceptable and players like this should have their accounts banned. Besides this guy it seems since the last update there’s always a couple players every night I run into who are getting 30-40+ kills a game and they’re super glitchy and don’t take damage. I mean a fusion to the chest won’t kill them and neither does a grenade launcher to the face. What’s worse is when I check their k/d most of them are worse than mine but they’re getting 40 kills? Come on Bungie. Appropriate punishments are in place. For repeat offenders with a poor internet connection: “Restrictions are placed manually on accounts that are deemed to be repeatedly ruining game experiences for others in PVP, or gambit. Restrictions will not be overturned until their duration has passed. Use this time to stabilise and improve your network connection so that you stop harming games for other players. The first restriction will last two weeks. If you do not fix your connection, the next will be two months. If you still persist in ruining the game for others, you will be permanently banned from Destiny 2. Please be considerate of others and work on fixing your connection, to avoid further repercussions.” For cheaters or those who ignore the above: “Bans are manually placed on accounts following account investigation that turns up behaviour that justifies the action being taken. These investigations can be started by multiple reports of cheating or otherwise disallowed behaviour over a long time period. Alternatively, bans may be placed after the Destiny 2 app on PC detects potential cheat software and flags it, sending data to Bungie - again requiring manual confirmation for a ban to be placed. The only other way to obtain a ban is to continue to play match made PVP and gambit, following both a 2 week and 2 month restriction from those activities. In all seriousness, and with respect, Bungie has found reasonable evidence that you have broken the Destiny code of conduct in some way and been appropriately punished for it. There is no way to appeal a ban or have it overturned. Bungie does not discuss or revoke restrictions or bans.” Please keep in mind that it could be your connection. However, in the second post, you described a situation where you were not at fault.

    • Gee, next game we have a Warlock who was lagging all over and for some reason took a liking to me killing me non stop and there wasn’t anything I could do about it. I even sat in awe as my teammate pops his Titan and came down on him TWO times while I was shooting dude with my fusion and all this did was take off maybe a 1/3 of his shield and he ended up killing both of us with his shotty. On good days my k/d goes up steadily and on days like this it’s a joke.
