Not putting large fireteams up against teams of solo players would help immensely. This is game breaking. Probably more than half of games in QP is teams of solos going up against 3 person or higher fireteams. It almost always results in the fireteams completely dominating. It would seem simple algorithms would easily separate fireteams from solos in matchmaking. But it seems the matchmaking takes a fireteam, then fills the lobby with solo players.

 • This is deffo not true, I recently came back I've played probably 100 games and rarely match against a fireteams of 4 or more, 3s aren't really a problem as a solo player.

 • I played only about 500 matches, mostly during my Redrix quest, but I'd say even 6-stack does not guarantees stampede from them. Those may be friends who aren't Crucible dwellers with more kills on any single PvP pinnacle weapon (like then new Recluse) than on all of my PvE combined, like 30+K kills. FFS, even if I pick my Fighting Lion twice I wouldn't had that much, and I played like 900 hours. What we do need to separate - is highly skilled players vs low skilled players. And add even distribution between teams. Because when there are 3 of you, none has any Glory or PvP pinnacles, and 6 of them, and 4 of them have at least Recluse or anything "better" - this slightly suggests that matchmaking is broken AF. Like you can't divide 9 by 2 with more equal approach 4vs5 than placing it 6 vs 3 (no, no one left during matchmaking, there never were more than 9 of us)? And placing clearly more skilled players in a bigger team? And I've seen a lot of matches like that. Sometimes people join later, but you can't close the gap made early (just yesterday lost match by 7 points made early when we had 3vs6). Sometimes people quit, leaving you alone. What I don't get is Mercy rule. Why the fvck do you even match teams so dramatically different? Yes, maybe those stampede squad (had two matches against one in a row) will earn 10-20 kills each, but... is it fun? Match is over under a minute, you literally wait for matchmaking and fly towards match longer than you play! What's the point? There were some matches where my team won by Mercy rule and I was best player in team (how the hell, I have 0.3 k/d!). I want to play, I can't play when there is either mercy rule, or one team just spawnwipes the other and no mercy rule is involved. I don't mind Shaxx, but I do think that best result IS a tie. It means you indeed evenly matched. And that is best.
