Would you please answer this, are you going to change it, or give us an option to change it?. With the architects flawed design of the maps you are constantly getting stuck on objects, or walls.
Boarderlands as accomplished this, you can adjust it In the options, would it really be that much trouble to implement this option?.

Most likely won't come till next gen. Don't think destiny on current consoles can handle an fov slider. Have you ever played a 60 fps game and then went back to destiny? Then you'll know how terrible the frames already are on console lol.
-
We have aim assist. That’s it
-
You would literally be watching a slideshow on console with an increased FoV. In otherwords, they don’t give console that option because it would murder the already abysmal FPS.
-
The way I understand it, is that because the game was constructed on PC, PC has a better FoV. When it ports over to Console the FoV is affected. I noticed it too when I went from D1 to D2. Someone on PC can confirm this, not exactly know if its true or not. Not holding my breath that Bungie will change it as its been 2 years and no mention of it.

A larger FOV means that more of the world will be shown. Therefore, the frames will drop. Don't believe me. Go straight up to a wall. You'll see your frames rise dramatically. Why? Because you're not looking at anything. You could do the same thing by looking down at the ground. If you're getting bad frames in a game you can almost always temporarily raise your frames by looking straight down or straight up.

console is console 🤣
-
meh. maybe next year. not on anyones (besides maybe you) top priority list.
-
Just gotta deal. They aren't improving their engine for such things on consoles with a one year expiration date. Just hold out hope they are using a new engine for d3 and the ps5/scarlett
-
This game is nowhere near as good as Borderlands and b3 is gonna be fantastic.
-
If they can't give us 60 fps, they won't get us fov slider.
-
You want fov I just want my guns and enemy players to not turn invisible.
-
How do you expect a console struggling to pull 30fps to handle an FOV slider? Do you understand anything about how hardware works?
-
Agreed if warframe and divison can do it bungie also can
-
Yes. Because 20 FPS would be good
-
Edited by Smough: 7/13/2019 11:33:34 AMIf you wouldn’t mind the fps cost? Sure go for it. Borderlands believe it or not is less demanding than d2, so it makes sense why they could have one. The different between 70 fov to 116 fov (at least on my pc) was around 20-30 fps, which is what d2 on console normally runs at. So have fun I guess.
-
There's definitely still issues in the game still with mantling. Walls I barely make the distance of yet my character doesn't grab the wall, don't get it.....
-
Yeah, TitanFall 2 has fov and thats older than d2
-
-
go play on pc
-
The reason hunters are rampant on console is because as soon as the jump in the air near you they are out of your fov and have the advantage on you.
-
No. Reason: Destiny 2 is pushing consoles to their limits. Borderlands 2 is a game that is what? 7 years almost old and was made for last gen hardware. That is why consoles can't have an increase of field of view. You want to play the game constantly at 20 or lower FPS with more frame dips?
-
There's so much misinformation and fail on this thread it's unbelievable. Adjusting FOV wouldn't decrease frame rate, why would it? The game world around your character is already being rendered whether it's being displayed or not. It's a simple, valid request that should have a relatively easy solution. Though you could also ask for way more, like a frame rate unlock like R6 Siege has, as I bet you newer consoles can achieve much higher framerate than 30 fps, especially in Crucible where it's not even rendering enemies with Ai. And to the guy who thinks PC players move faster than console, you really need to understand what framerate is, and the difference it makes. They don't move faster, but it appears as such. I can put a framerate cap on the PC version and set it to 30, and it looks like I'm moving in jittery slow motion, and well, that's why I switched from console to PC in the first place. Hope that helps.
-
How about putting the crosshair in the middle of the screen WHERE IT SHOULD BE like on pc
-
IDGAF what anyone says, PC player toons move faster on foot, than console toons move on sparrows. Slow them down to equal speeds as consoles. No, I won't buy a PC, that needs constant virus protection and is outdated before I get it hooked up at home.

Edited by Mowbz: 7/12/2019 10:11:55 AMIn short, yes it would be too much trouble. It’s about the limitations of the machine you are on. Basically if you want nice things, stop being a poor and buy a pc.

I know what you mean. Its one of the most frustrating things in difficult content when you're trying to escape death and get stuck on somethhing invisible so you die. My personal favorite is when I peek from behind cover to shoot an explosive (rocket or grenade), and I die because it apparently hits a wall that wasn't on my screen, causing me to blow up. I don't think consoles could handle the change though
