I'm at the point where I am unable to solo missions and even side quests without dying a very large quantity of times, which isn't fun. I'm overleveled yet enemies still kill me a lot faster than I can kill them. I get the game is designed for co-op but I really don't like playing with other people. Even if I wanted to (which I do now cuz I can't progress solo without losing all my money to deaths), none of my friends play the game and randoms rarely matchmake with me even though I set matchmaking to public. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. At least it took me longer to quit this game than the last new game I tried; Borderlands 2 lasted me like 30 hours while R6 Siege lasted me like 3. It's a good game, but I just don't think I can play it anymore.
An update on my progress: the game is fun again now, mostly. I’m on the mission “The Talon of God”, which I’m pretty sure is the last mission in the main story. I have a legendary adaptive shield with a low capacity but a shitton of elemental resistance and it gives me like 1.5k extra health. I leveled Zer0 more and I’m finally at the point where if I melee something it just dies in addition to having B0re, which is nice. My damage output is existent now, especially at close range. Despite that, I try to straight up charge enemies less and I’ve reduced my reliance on shotguns in an effort to play more conservatively. It works. Though I still have trouble with some enemies, particularly Threshers and Crystalisks. Those still don’t die (well, the smaller Threshers do but not the other ones). Crystalisks in particular are annoying as hell; usually I just run past them instead of trying to fight because they’re just stupid. Thanks to everyone that offered tips and advice to me (except that one guy that said just said “git gud”; there’s always that one guy and they’re never helpful). Though I still can’t get Golden Keys to work, which is kind of annoying. I’ll just make due though.
