Core Should Drop(RNG) From Challenging Activities! Change My Mind?

I Agree with what is Being Suggested

52

I Say Bungie Got it Right from the Start

18

I Have a Better Idea(Comment down Below)

10

Enhancement Core Options: 1) Bounties Spider and the Gunsmith(Easy, Not Farmable and Not that Enticing) 2) Master-worked Legendaries from RNG(Rare and Not Farmable) 3)MasterWeave Item (Very Scarce and Not Farmable) 4)Clan reward (Not Farmable) We can all agree Cores are an issue. The issue with Them is that we don't have a viable place to farm them. They are used for infusion and Master-working. We could all say we had no issue with them being used to master-work items when they were called MasterworkCores. Since they have been tied to Infusion it has felt like we have been in a never ending Nightmare(😉😉). My question to you bungie is why haven't you added them to the Loot Pools of Qualifying content while also keeping them as bounties. I am in no way asking for guaranteed drops but I am asking for Random Drops. This not only benefits the player but it also benefits the world of destiny by making certain activities more relevant. An Example would be older raids. I have not gotten certain catalysts(Telesto and sleeper😭) because nobody plays them anymore. this idea would incentivize more players to play older content; Especially as more content is added. Master-working an item should not share the same Currency as Infusion unless we are able to Farm Cores effectively. How is an Endgame material being Drip fed(Time gated) to us by bounties each day a CHALLENGING EXPERIENCE? a Challenging experience does not consist of being Locked out of a challenge for the day; witch is why the method of distribution should change. If you are concerned about new players you could do the following: Leave the Gunsmith Bounties(with a Twist) and bring back Scrapper Bounties. The difference this time is only new players who are not at endgame will have access to those Gunsmith Bounties. Once a certain Light Level has been Reached and objective Completed(Special Quest) you are then able to Farm Cores Via Endgame(Challenging) Activities. Destiny New Light: They will need to complete the "Special Quest". We can leave this to whatever you would like us to accomplish bungie. However long it may be. Does This method not sound far more enticing than what we currently have? WE can all agree endgame Materials should be a challenge to get. Bounties as they stand are not that challenging for an endgame material. I doubt you want to separate Infusion from Master-working an item witch is why I presented this in the fashion I did. if you were to separate them you could do it in the following Manner: Re-introduce Etheric Light. The only difference would be how they are obtained. 1 Etheric light is obtained after every 10 Orbs of Light. you decide how many are needed for infusion. If you do decide to take this approach you would not need a "Special Quest" for Destiny New Light or the game in general because cores would be just for master-working. There are already good chances for you to get a master-worked item without a viable farm in the beginning of gameplay. You could adjust cores to drop at a reasonable rate and in the end it will still be Farmable as opposed to the current method of waiting for the next day Here are Links To other Topics about Enhancement Cores: Enhancement Core Discussion! • But you can actually farm for cores. 1) Play the game as you'd normally do, and collect every grain of resources you come across on every planet. Vendor bounties will help a lot. 2) Once you have a significant amount of resource in your inventory, a full stack will do, go to the appropriate vendor and turn them all in. Be careful not to send something to postmaster accidentally. 3) Dismantle everything you get. Everything. 4) Repeat with every other resource you have. 5) You'll end up with enough cores not to worry about infusion until the next turn-in time. You'll also get an awful amount of purple shards.

    • Cores are fine as is. Stop infusing +1 LL and it’ll be fine. So sick of the f’ing posts about them being removed.. no need. People need to learn the mechanic and stop whining about it being changed.. if you can’t figure it out by now, you got bigger issues.

Bungie has a bad habit of constantly changing things that mainly only benefit them. There was no reason at all to change how cores were originally created for. The games this company plays with their player base is beyond childish and they think they're being clever. It's usually just the kids/teens that fall for their (suggestive thinking.) Putting words in their mouth making them believe that what they said is actually a benefit for them when in the long run it's actually not, and it's disrespectful that Bungie treats their entire player base that way. I want to say I'm surprised but I'm not. Kids/teens are easily convinced and some adults on this forum are as well. I've noticed since the cores were used as a forum of infusion literally everything Bungie has changed creating that illusion "they're improving"certain things have been nothing but a trade-off, leaving this game no further than when they were added as part of the infusion. Bungie is doing this with everything in this game that it's far worse then what they did with D1.

          • Just remove them from infusion so we can stop seeing these posts everywhere.

          • They just need to be removed from the infusion process. That's it. It's not complicated. No need to complicate the matter more.

            • I wouldn't mind them dropping from high end activities but I don't care about Enhancement Cores one way or another, if the keep them fine if not fine just wanna make that clear. I think you and I both follow Lono (Say No To Rage) I think he's over the Core subject also I'm pretty sure he said in one of his vids/live streams he says they're plenty of ways to get them now and I think the big picture for cores are gonna have to deal with Armor 2.0 since you'll be able to pick and choose perks. For how I say get a stash, infuse 10+ light levels if you need to for raids and see what Shadow Keep does.

Cores shouldn’t be used for infusion.

              • Or, we could revert back to the old infusion system. Then we could use an endgame currency for an endgame purpose: masterworking.

                  • Of the problems with this game I hardly think an already reworked(multiple times) and simplified facet should be anyone's priority. As for 'viable farming' of enhancement cores is concerned; get your faction packages and break that stuff down, do the bounties, use your masterweave. I went from 0 to 20 in under an hour last night. What we really should be demanding are exotic quests for new guns(not D1 guns), new locations(not D1 locations). Crimson was a great way to bring Red Death in to D2 and more things like that should happen. There was a time when infusion didn't exist. There was a time when light level wasn't a thing. And, in fact, it seems like enhancement cores are going to be easier to get as long as we'll still be able to buy them from spider since all that eververse stuff is gonna break down into shards and glimmer in September.

Base necessity is that glimmer cap needs to be raised. I can only imagine how much Glimmer I’ve wasted over the course or D2 by not picking it up because I was capped, that I could be using in this season. But on to cores. The absolute BARE MINIMUM change that Bungie should make is simply to reduce the core cost of infusion by one core. Legendaries cost one core to infuse, Exotics cost two cores to infuse, infusing an exotic into a legendary costs zero cores. However this still leaves the issue that since cores are only available in endgame content, new players will continue to be entirely unable to infuse because they don’t have a material they’ve never even seen or heard of before. Until they hit level 50 and start consistently getting legendary drops. The change that I think would best suit both the community AND Bungie would be to completely remove enhancement cores from infusion, revert their name back to Masterwork cores, and introduce a new currency utilized strictly for infusion to act as the fourth currency in infusion. This new currency should be directly tied to a couple things: leveling up, playlist activity completions, and occasional RNG drops throughout the world. For comparison, consider the original Motes of Light. Required for infusion and let you level weapons up faster if you chose. Dropped in packages upon leveling up, could be traded for certain other items, and occasionally dropped from engrams. It would bridge the gap between the community’s desire to use cores for MASTERWORKING, and Bungie’s desire to make leveling your gear a little more of a grind. It would also make it possible for new players to infuse the exotics they get on their climb to level 50. Open to criticism. Glad to see you haven’t given up on this idiocy Bungie insists on Lux.

                      • As if they will listen..... Then as if cores aren’t enough you need 8-9g In glimmer and some materials to infuse one item.
