  • Why did she care so much if he didn’t socialize with the dog?

That's not it. The dog was constantly barking at my mum's other son at the least little sound that he would make when entering and exiting his room (strangely, she only did this when I was around) my mum's other son, being the idiot that he is, met that aggression with aggression. Dogs are creatures of habit, they learn by routine and patterns. He set the tone for the dog to bark at him whenever he's around my room or even the hallway by acting macho and fluffing up, basically what you would do if you were up against a cougar or bear (which is something you don't do with a dog that's being aggressive or hostile). The dog would've never started acting like that if he just socialized with it, but to his dumbass that would be "catering" to the dog. It was becoming an issue of him getting pissed at the dog's barking and me finally telling him that he's the only one she does that to (which led to a huge argument). The alternative was putting her in one of the unused rooms but then she would start whining because she was away from me and thought she was being punished (which, go figure The whining also annoyed him). We were trying to see if the place we adopted her from would hold her temporarily until we moved, but they weren't willing and just picked her up today. I didn't even get to say bye.

  • Sounds like you got rid of the wrong thing. If anyone tried to keep me from having my dog, they'd catch a flying knee to the face. Sorry you went through this, sounds like it was a big pain in the ass.
