Can a ghost have more than one guardian?
So if you side with the vanguard I believe you get told that our ghost use to belong to a Dredgen. Which i figured was complete BS since a ghost has one person they are meant to revive. But then I read up some old Grimoire and jaren wards ghost also belonged to shin Malphur. How does this work lore wise if a ghost is suppose to belong to a single guardian?
EDIT: I misread the message so dinklebot is still A-Ok. However the question still stands since shin Malphur and Jaren ward had the same ghost

Each Ghost has one ideal match for a Guardian, but they have the option to revive someone else. However, once a Guardian is revived, this choice is irreversible. There are [b]many[/b] accounts from Ghosts who lost their Guardians -or are still searching for them- that directly confirm this information (several of these are excerpts from Ghost Stories, but there are others, including a direct quote from our Ghost and more from the nine Ghosts who Orin spoke to when searching for the Nine). I see people mentioning Saint-14, but that’s wrong. Our Ghost only met Saint-14. Many people also mention Jaren Ward’s Ghost and Shin Malfur. This is part of a huge misconception. Jaren Ward, his Ghost, and Dredgen Yor all saw the Light in Shin Malfur, confirming that he was already a Guardian (this is why they were so interested in him), meaning he was most likely the infant from the Confession of Hope excerpts in Ghost Stories (seriously, read those), or a similar case. After Jaren died, his Ghost went to Shin and said something to him (most likely telling him that he had the Light). All other lore directly confirms that it was not possible for Jaren’s Ghost to become Shin’s Ghost. Also notice that after Jaren’s death, we have seen absolutely no sign of any Ghost with Shin and Shin has not been harmed or killed (to our knowledge). Edit: that last bit about not seeing a Ghost isn’t really important, since Jaren’s Ghost could still be with Shin. Also, during Cayde’s death, our Ghost saying he can’t do anything to help suggests that Ghosts mat be able to heal (but not revive) other Guardians, at least a little.

[With the only exception, which has a million and one variables involved, being accounted for, no. A ghost can normally only have one guardian and a guardian will only have one ghost.]

Our ghost said that he tried to resurrect another before us but that person turned it down, there's savin's ghost that said he'd looked over people before looking for someone right and you have ghost that have never found a guardian, so where's their "one". Ghost can resurrect anyone they wan if they think they'd be a good addition to the travelers undead army, it's not a "ghost is made specifically to a single guardian and if said guardian does you can't go get another one"

well jaren died you can inherit a ghost is what we are currently going with if the guardian dies without its ghost being destroyed the ghost should be able to find someone else

My observations show that a ghost can Rez any guardian after their first rez. Then our ghost did say that he tried to pick a different guardian who responded with “no”(this was in the Caydes stash mission in taken king where you are getting the stealth drive)
