Matchmaking for the forges is also a nightmare. Oh there's no one that joins the lobby after 10 seconds? Well.....we better put you in there so you can solo it. I don't even try anymore.

I have gotten used to it. I just run a trench barrel primary shotgun, a recluse, and a windigo for maximum ad control and dps. Then run a blade barrage with shards of gallanor for a quick add clear super. I do this so i can survive as long as possible until it matches a person in. Also for windigo the best way to solo farm it i found is to get a VPN, join a Indian server. It will then make it so all strikes and planets you go to are 99.9% likely to never matchmake with other people. And then keep loading strikes until you get lake of shadows, and then use fighting lion to kill in lost sectors. That or get a fire team and load up a strike in dreaming city for the blind well.

I did the Wendigo legit. Just played a bunch of strikes.

Thats a long grind especially when you have to really try hard not to die in a game where just falling 2 meters in the wrong angle can instantly kill you because of physics.
-
I was grinding runes so it wasn't that bad.
-
Do you ever get to see that one poor Indian dude just running patrol by himself? 😂 Feels bad man
-
I personally dont have a issue with that as I can hold my own at least until 2 others load in before I get overwhelmed witb enemy fire power. *shrugs, I guess some people dont like it.

Edited by Reutter85: 6/17/2019 11:51:47 AMYeah, I can hold my own too. I probably could solo it completely but it's just that I don't want to and shouldn't have to.....especially since there actually is matchmaking.
-
Well I'd imagine and that is understandable but at the same time not everyone around the globe has the best internet so, yeah I normally just chalk it up to "maybe they need a little time to load in" and just get it started. Normal they pop in within 30 seconds of the timer starting.
-
I'll give it a go next time.
-
I've never had an issue
-
Lucky you. I'd say half the forges I load into don't start populating until the first round is nearly over and failed as I don't even bother when solo.
-
Use a fireteam?
-
Woah, I'd never thought of that???? Seriously, how long did it take you to come up with that amazing insight? Sometimes I play solo if I have bounties or quest stuff to do etc. Point is, why does the matchmaking load players into empty instances - all of the -blam!-ing time. Problem isn't just restricted to forges. Escalation protocol would be more enjoyable if Mars wasn't empty, blind well affected by the same empty instances. Destiny is an online multiplayer game, why do Bungie leave it feeling empty so often.
-
Again USE A FIRETEAM. Your upset at a game meant to be played with people yet won't put the effort into making a fireteam post to get said people... Just wow dude
-
Ha! You are completely overlooking my point.
Your upset at a game meant to be played with people yet won't put the effort into making a fireteam post to get said people... Just wow dude
So, you're happy with an online multiplayer game that has matchmaking for almost every activity, yet just as often as not, fails to load you into instances with anybody in? Or half fills them and so on. I can find a fireteam, no problem. But if I'm on my own because I'm online earlier or later than friends, then I should just not bother because "mAkE a FiReTeAm"? My point was - why do Bungie leave the game feeling empty so often?
-
What is so hard about making a fireteam? You are crying just to cry dude
-
Nothing is hard about finding a fireteam, I never said that it was. Really, suggesting I'm crying? What are you even talking about? My point is that patrol, and activities that are started from patrol like EP, Blind Well and the forges are just as often empty as they are populated. Why is this is a thing, in a game with more than 1M players logging in daily? The game is far more interesting when there are players around, and the instance your in is full.
