I've been getting this error code since the first update after the Opulence launch I'm running a pair of GTX 1080 Tis in SLI mode, Intel i7-4790 @3.60GHz. 16 GB RAM with a 49" Samsung Monitor set at 3840 x 1080, 100Hz. I've updated all drivers, and the OS. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, set the game at administrator, set game and Blizzard priority to highest level and I continue to get random crashes or game freezes. I never had these issues with previous iterations of the game.
Hey Major Talon. Appreciate your report. You may want to review our BROCCOLI article for more information about this issue. If that doesn't help, here are a few suggestions some players have found to resolve this issue:
1. Enable "Game Mode" in Windows 10 or, if you already have "Game Mode" enabled, try disabling it. 2. If you use EVGA Precision for overclocking, you may want to disable that since it doesn't play well with Destiny 2. MSI Afterburner might be a good alternative to use. 3. In your Settings, cap your framerate to keep GPU usage below 90% to see if this helps. 4. If you have an NVIDIA graphics cards, see if the card stabilizes using NVIDIA's temporary debug mode. 5. Some players have reported that a mild underclock for GPU clock of around -100MHz and GPU memory around -50MHzz may help with this issue.
Have you tried running a scan / repair after you completed a full installation. I have seen this resolve this problem because it fixes whatever minor installation problem that happened to occur during the patch.
