Well I for one think it's a valid point. Crucible attracts a certain type of player and I don't really see the need to force PvE players to play a PvP activity for a PvE reward. That's six potential pieces of Powerful Gear (two per character) a player won't be able to get unless they play a part of the game they find unpleasant. Why would Bungie want to force players to do that?
