There is no place in this game for mid to low skill/experience players who don't have a full fireteam of friends to play with. Bungie is saying, in no uncertain terms: "Be a hardcore Destiny player with years of experience or play another game. Casuals or people who would like to develop as a Destiny player are not welcome here." New players or those who want to get better can't learn the ropes in Quickplay; it's far more sweaty than even comp. The way I see it, Bungie had a choice: make a game that everyone can play through fair matchmaking and risk actually challenging the top players, or let them keep stomping new players so they can feel good about themselves. I think we all know what they chose.
