Instead of infusing every 0.000003 seconds, you could just wait, get your light up, then infuse. By then, you’ll have been able to experiment with plenty of other weapons and armor pieces and you may find new things you like. Cores are insanely easy to get, it’s just people don’t want to get them for the sake of arguing. You can get an insane amount of cores very very easily with simulations seeds. Just wait for spider to sell them for shards, buy as many as you can, then turn them all in to Brother Vance. Not only will the return on legendary shards he big, but with all the legendaries you’ll dismantle, you’ll get tons of cores and who knows, you may even get a really good roll on some of the weapons that you may want to keep. I personally don’t even do that. I play the game as is and I’ve still never had a single issue with enhancement cores. If you’re blaming a single small mechanic that is very very very easy to get around due to it making the ENTIRE game “not fun” then perhaps the game just isn’t for you. In fact, most looter shooters probably won’t be for you at all. Stick to something a lot more simple like call of duty. I’m a D1 beta player and through all the time I’ve invested in this game, not only do I feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth, but I still enjoy it. That’s not to say the game is perfect, because it’s far from that however, people on these forums always blow everything out of proportion. It’s honestly ridiculous.

  • Then you have all your setups good to go except their levels are terrible and would need to dish out 17 cores each build, multiply by at least 60, yeah...no.

  • That wouldn’t be a problem if they literally waited to infuse like I had said. I went from 713 to 730 Light on my hunter in ONE DAY (only did half of my powerfuls too). Only infused like 3 times to get certain bounties/activities done and re-earned those cores within a couple hours. My core stash is looking great right now since i SAVE THEM until i reach my desired light level to infuse. It’s just common sense to wait, hit the light cap or somewhere close, then infuse the gear that you specifically want to use up. And before someone brings up some garbage about time investment, I’m a working teenager who works 6-7 days a week and I hit overtime every week meaning I’m at work A LOT. I sometimes will work 2 entire weeks without a day off and have even gone up to 3 weeks. That being said, I don’t get to play very often and if I do, it isn’t for very long and yet I’m somehow able to go from 713 to 730 Light in a day and have plenty of cores to infuse and all that.

  • At least 600 cores a season to try and keep everything up and equal, yea, that will always be a problem. I got the shards to make that work if I wanted to do it all right now. The cores, never in my life. I rather not make Core grinding its own job, many people don't, it's dumb. Destiny shouldn't be designed to literally be the only game you ever play in order to not put up with the little BS, Bungie has said they wanted it to be something you can come back to, many feel like they can't and just plain refuse to over garbage like this. Removing them wouldn't hurt anyone, and maybe even pull some back a tad bit. Happy people are better than angry people, pure logic

  • See that’s another thing though. As of now, i play destiny the least. I’ve put in far more time into battlefield and Warframe this past month than i have into destiny. I don’t play everyday, i don’t grind for cores or anything. Reset this week was the first time i actually got to say down and play for like the past week and a half. So how is it that I’m gong through everything perfectly fine? The entire argument behind cores is just a huge straw man. Now would removing them not hurt anyone? Of course it wouldn’t, however keeping them doesn’t necessarily do too much harm either. All games, especially looter shooters have that one mechanic that is kinda shitty. Cores are that mechanic in destiny. Warframe has its time based building where i have to wait 3 whole days just to try a new frame that i had to wait 12-36 hours to even start building to begin with. And then i need the mods to make that frame usable. Despite that, the mechanic isn’t really much of a bother. Would the game be better if it didn’t have it? Yeah but it’s still a game that i enjoy and put time into anyway, in fact, I’ve even sunk hundreds of dollars into the game all in the name of fashion. The sooner people let go of the straw man, the better the game will be. Simple.

  • Warframe uses crafting, something that makes a little bit of sense when you realize items have to literally be assembled. Also is merely waiting. Something easy to get over because at least that is all it is. You can actually do something else you want while it goes on. Cores do what, exactly? Add artificial grinds, make one system prioritized over another (like screw masterworking), and piss off most people on the internet. It also has created this ridiculous level of toxicity towards other players because they have problems with the system. Enough that those being such pieces of trash would almost warrant me making the decision on that front alone because their superior like attitude deserves a knocking down, it's heartless.

  • Idk about you but I’d rather grind for something that is very easy to acquire and get than wait 3 whole days to play a game.

  • The game doesn't kick you out for 3 days. Just makes you wait. Once you get used to it, you plan around it. Cores are a constant demand. A thorn in many sides

  • As I’ve stated previously, literally just save them and wait until you’re at your desired light level. This makes the whole “constant demand” dealing you’ve got going completely minute.

  • And creates another problem where there's this stupid unwritten rule of how you must infuse, instead of being a way to be efficient about it. You can't just keep telling people how to play the game like some parent, people know how to take the safe route, but don't care, they don't want that stupid constraint. People with plenty of gear aren't helped anyway, as the costs are still absurd even when they take the safe route

  • When you have 60+ gearsets, yes they are. Ever try different things?

  • When you save up enchantment cores and use them once you’ve reached your desired light, costly isn’t a term that applies to your gameplay.
