Forsaken/Annual Pass/Shadowkeep confusion

So I already own Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind. I want to get back into Destiny 2 before Shadowkeep drops, however the way the last expansions are bundled is.....confusing as hell. What’s the best deal to get what I need here? I’m asking because they have Annual Pass on sale on PS for $15, and I can get Forsaken legendary collection for $17 on amazon, is there a better way to get Forsaken/Annual Pass? Will preordering Shadowkeep give me Forsaken/Annual Pass since I already have Osiris/Warmind, the whole “you get credit towards other season passes” bit is poorly explained, I didn’t know if it took into account whether or not you had the Year 1 season pass or not. So many questions, and so few answers I can find.

  • Shadowkeep does not include anything from year 2. No Forsaken, no annual pass. Starting with season 8, when Shadowkeep launches, there will be individual season passes for the four seasons that will make up year 3. You get one pass with Shadowkeep, which will be for season 8 (or whatever the current season is, for people who buy it after season 8). If you buy a season pass, and log into the game during a season when you already have a pass active, your new pass will be credited towards the next season, so if you buy the basic Shadowkeep, you get a season pass. Log in during season 8, and the pass will be active for that season. If you buy another season pass, and log in during season 8, that second pass will give you access to season 9.
