I guess to me it's about the principle of things.
Pay $100 day 1 for the base and future content (that may or may not suck).
Pay $60 day 1 year 2 for the base and all expansions one year after.
Yeah it's something a lot of us should have seen coming and expected considering everything that came before, but it's still kind of a crapshoot getting this kind of news. Like, yeah it's great to get a new player base this way and bolster the activity, but if you're willing to slash $40 off after a year and give it with the base game for $60 that's not a good history to look back on. To me that means the released content isn't worth $40 after a year or less of gameplay.
I'm not expecting to get any sort of refund concerning this, but I would like to hear what their thoughts are on it.
Will there be something we get even if it's a t-shirt (Congratulations for putting up with 5 years of Activision!) or something for us to feel like we're not just getting shagged?
If there's not, then oh well. I'd just like to hear some thoughts on the Day 1 Year 1 Destiny Veterans that have been through this wringer time and time again.
