I was going to downvote this, but I don't entirely disagree. Games go down in value after time. Destiny 2 has been out for 2 years now, if it were still full price for just Vanilla D2, then people would be throwing a fit. As it is, a free to play entry point is a great way for me to convince my friends to come back. A-la-carte expansions allows my friends to play the things that I already have and enjoy the most much easier. But the fact of the matter is this: I've paid something like $200 dollars (much more if you consider that I bought a copy of D2-Forsaken for my wife) to play this game, and I've stuck with it from Day 1 on PC. I preordered. I played the Beta. I love the idea of Bungie giving out silver to their most dedicated players, because some of us have stuck by them throughout the hardest times this game has gone through.
