Fusion Rifle Kills Not Being Counted..?

Hi, folks; looking for some guidance here. I tried to clear the Vanguard Bounty that required "10 enemies defeated from any Fusion Rifle in Strikes", but no joy. I tried with two Linear (Arbalest and Crooked Fang), but again: no joy. Is this something that I'll need a 'regular' Fusion Rifle to complete, or is the bounty bugged? Any insight is appreciated....

A linear fusion rifle is not a fusion rifle just like an smg isnt an auto rifle

You need a regular fusion rifle to do this.
