I agree with points 2 and 3 more content never bad. But addressing point 1, what do you expect to change or want changed? Fireteams in matchmaking are usually paired against each other but more often than not it won’t be 6v6 stack. So what are the groups of 6 supposed to do when there just isn’t another 6 stack at that moment to pair? Not play? Penalizing team play in a team activity sounds counterintuitive. You could suggest a solo-queue, but there’s Rumble already, and what’s the sense in adding a solo queue to a team game mode? How would you tackle that?

  • What changed in QP was that the top 1% started an anti-sbmm campaign going into Forsaken and pressured Bungie to exclude it and appease the influencers. Bungie devs know that not having it is not in most players best interests, but the shit-storm of hate from influencers is something they're desperate to avoid. One of those things is that sbmm is what makes the games more fair for solo players vs fireteams because the game takes average fireteam skills. So FT vs FT the averages are similar, but FT vs Solo, it will match the solo player closer to the highest skill player in the FT. It also matches higher skill players (Platinum, diamond, master) vs less solo players. Unfortunately there's so much bogus information out there about sbmm that the streamers have seeded into the community that no one really knows that it's hurting their experience not having it.
