I resist the urge to say that I don’t hear it because I have AirPods in.
Instead, i draw my sword and search for the source

There are nine bards on the rooves of different buildings!
-
Edited by xXNightHawkXx377: 5/28/2019 9:10:42 PMOookaaayyy... *rolls initiative* 22, which puts me... now. Can I try to see if there’s a pattern to where they are positioned?
-
They were positioned in a pattern that created an 8 pointed star! The first five in the center have been dealt with and Robo Owl is flying towards the next!
-
No need. I’ll scale the nearest building and slaughter one with a lunge with the Sword of Chordeliniae. It’s Touch of the Deep™️ bends the corpse to my will, and I have it murder the rest of the hostiles.
-
What's it do, exactly?
-
I can call forth the infernal powers of the deep to bend the corpse to my will, and have it violently murder the bards, by ripping off their heads, and for an extra touch, destroying any instruments they may have
-
Ah, well like I said the Bards were all on different buildings, but it's all good now. Show's over! Offtopic won! Yay!
-
Ah, I miss all the good shit, but huzzah!
-
I don't think I'll do one of these kinds of things again. It was pretty stressful keeping track everyone and to be honest, I'm a bad DM! Think I'll stick to stories. Might have some signup things later.
-
8 pointed star? Similar enough to a pentagram. I’m surprised the body count didn’t stop at 666 for a few minutes.
-
Im rolling periodically to add to the count.
-
That’s what I thought. Now back to killing demons and getting vengeance against bards that always wake the party up from long rests by practicing their instruments at 3 in the morning!
-
You do so! And in so doing, protect the people that would have been killed by these demons had they not had a threat to focus on! But then the Fissure before you grows larger and two demons clad in armor of ice emerge from the mists!
-
Sorry that I’ve been replying all over and jumping around, it probably hasn’t made anything easier for you.
*I face them with my sword at my side. You know I can’t think of a one liner right now and I don’t think your in the mood to talk so let’s heat things up a bit. *I roll backwards, getting up on one knee with my sword sheathed and my bow drawn. I nock a arrow and fire it. The arrow flys towards the demon and I roll a 14 to hit. As it hits or misses it explodes into a small ball of fire hitting the demons around it.
-
The arrow lands at their feet and explodes, obliterating many lesser demons and injuring the Knights. One growls and takes a step toward you before it is pelted with bullets from civilians armed with weapons provided by Robo Owls lab! The second Knight raises it's blade of ice in both hands and charges you!

Edited by John Watson: 5/28/2019 10:22:09 PM
I have to go for a bit so we can probably assume that I will be fighting demons
A good old sword fight. En Garde. *I drop my bow and take out the sword and shield. As it charges I stand up and bring the shield and sword up above my head to block.*
-
You fight off the Knights as the civilians armed with flamethrowers hit the Fissure and seal it shut!
I've also got to leave for work soon, so I'm trying to wrap this up lol
-
Yeah I have about 5 minutes so I’m interested to see how this ends.
*I push on helping to clear out the demons while the people who can actually do fire damage seal the rifts.*
-
Cell joins you and together with the help of the militia you manage to push through to the next Fissure!
-
*I push onward while trying to see if I can shoot any bards with my bow.*
