Dear all the people making sh*t comments to people who want a more friendly solo experience...

It wouldn't affect your experience one iota, so be maybe stop, put on a thinking cap and contemplate what you're about to say before you post something ignorant. Facts: making the game better for solo play doesn't mean getting rid of team activities or even dumbing them down. What it does mean is -better Matchmaking in PvP environments that are currently extremely unbalanced towards fireteams. -more and/or better matchmaking options for PvE content like Nightfalls, raids and dungeons. -more endgame content like Shattered Throne that can be done solo or in a fireteam and both are a true endgame challenge. If you want to keep having a game to play into the future, you might not want to tell people who experience the game differently than you to "find another game". You also might want to try a little empathy and understanding instead of faux internet basement-rage. Thanks.

Although to be honest this crap has been going on a long time. Even though I don't really play anymore it was something that always seemed to come up at some time or another over the last 4 years. The moment anybody pushed for more solo content people would come out and say 'play something else' or 'you're just rubbish at the game.' It's a pretty strange thing for people to NOT want other people to play Destiny. Thing is other games are already doing a better job then Destiny. It was all fine and dandy when they had no competition. Been playing The Division 2 and I've had no problem playing the end game content on my own with a bunch of randoms from within the game. It's almost like people are blaming some other players for inadequacies on Bungie's part. They've known for the longest time that solo players have never really been happy when it comes to endgame and that Bungie themselves have struggled to really do any thing about it.

You can do [i]everything[/i] solo, but team play is [i][b]encouraged[/b][/i] by giving more [i]and[/i] better rewards for a full team. Want to run lone wolf? That's awesome!! Want to run a squad? That's awesome!! You're [i][b]not[/b][/i] punished for running solo, and guess what? It's a [b][i]multiplayer[/i][/b] game.

    • Just find it a bit weird the fireteam maker is on a app/site instead of an in game system. Like a board in the tower would be nice, where you can post/join activities. Other additions could include a news section on the board which has the twab. Similar to how monster hunter does it. Think alot more players would use that than the app since its direct and in-game. Doubt alot of players even know about the app.

      • After pursuing and acquiring the reckoner title. There is absolutely no way I support match making for end game type activities what so ever. Reckoning Is a clear example of why you can never incorporate solo match match making in a game that is so heavily influenced by mechanics and communication. Gambit prime is another example of why it's a problem. People with full sets on that either don't get recognized by other players or their role gets completely ignored. Then you have the same problem with player whom wear the full sets and play a completely different role. Crucible is just always going to be like that for any player, no one likes losing plain and simple, so the criticism is always going to be there. But quests I can say I thinks it's fair if they stick to a more linear path for someone to acquire themselves. Especially if it's fun and challenging also. Anyway just team up make friends and have fun, this is half the beauty of destiny 2, somehow we forgot all this after d1 (what a great helpful community we had back then)

        • Borderlands 3 drops in September. If it's anything like 2 it will be a similar looter shooter with more RPG aspect and even though it's multiplayer you will like be able to complete most activities solo.

        • Lfg takes a few seconds, but anyway as long as they don't program the content differently, I've always said there should be optional match making for every activity. Ppl should be able to go in solo to strikes/forges/crucible should they wish to challenge themselves. Raiding would be absolutely painful for a plethora of reasons, but the option should still be there all the same.

        • On this topic of telling people what to do and solo play. I will agree 100% thag we definitely need ALL of these things you mentioned. The find fireteam for raid matchmaking does not work as its supposed to and we need just flat matchmaking with requirement settings. You could even have matchmaking requirements such as “must have mic” or “must be english speaking” or “must have completed the raid before” and not as set requirements you can not change but optional requirements that players can set for their own matchmaking. They did this for halo reach so i dont know why they dont do this for destiny which is objectivly more team focused then halo with multiplayer activities. BUUUUT i also dont like the idea of telling people what to do or say even if they are saying something stupid. I don’t believe in silencing people because I believe if you say stupid things people cal them out on it anyway and the community decides wether or not they are right or wrong. Everyone should have a voice even the really dumb people. On the other hand i also realize that dumb people can hurt the game as it gives mixed messages to the devs which is why I believe a fix to this problem would be to show how manny dislikes a person has instead of stopping at 0. It seems like these days alot of social media platforms love to disable ways to show negative feedback to stop “toxic behavior” but instead of stopping toxic behavior like intended it instead increases it. They need to stop policing people so much and let the community decide whether a persons opinion is valid or not.

        • Other games I can jump right into pvp and feel like if I go try hard, my team has a chance to win no matter what my teammates are like. If I die, I got outplayed and did something stupid to die. In this game, something just feels off in pvp, like the game itself is working against you- and playing with a team makes that go away. Everything falls into place and becomes easy mode in pvp when I have a team. Idk why but I feel like any pvp related playing solo just sucks in Destiny 2.

          • Literally just made a post and people are fighting me saying that I should go play something else just because I like to do things when I want and being able to stop whenever. I have a 2 year old so I have to put the controller down quite often; sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for 10 minutes or more. That gets in the way of other people that could have someone with nothing from having them stop playing. I don't understand why those that disagree: 1. Don't realize that it wouldn't affect them in any way because they can still have their fireteams 2. We won't be taking spots that others with no current commitments could have. Better for everyone.

            • Warframe allows you to run solo. It can let you squad up and when you leave it on public the matchmaking with try it's best to find you teammates. Plus the lfg is in the game unlike bungie ;)

              • I wouldn't go so far to say the game isn't solo friendly. I'm a solo player and I understand that if there's something I want I have to use the tools in front of me. Unfortunately the game doesn't adjust for a full fireteam or a single player. THIS GAME NEEDS SCALING.

                  How anyone can be against making the game less punishing for people playing solo is beyond me. There are absolutely zero drawbacks to instituting a system that would encourage a lot of the people that have quit to come back.

                  • The problem is the people who spend 20 + hours playing a week, farming the raids, getting all the competitive pinnacle weapons, they want to feel better than you. They want to smash you in PvP with superior weaponry, they want to feel as "elite" as possible, and the fact that they've accomplished such things just isn't enough for them. As far as many of them are concerned, if you don't have the skills or the time, you should be stuck using blue gear.

                  • Looking at the activities people playing D2 participate in shows a clear lean towards those that are solo friendly. The ignorant attitude of the elitists is particularly ridiculous given how small a percentage they are of the playerbase.                       • Wrong. More solo content would cater to the soles. Which in turn forces people to not be able to play with their friends in that activity. I absolutely hated not being able to go to the Dialect for the Invitations with my friends.

                          • I’ve never had a problem playing solo if I need to I can find a fire team. The problem is the lack of even relatively fun things to do.
