Destiny 2 refuses to launch after the most recent update (2.2.2.2). I click the play button only to be met with a "game is running" prompt next to it, and then after about 5 seconds the play button lights up again and I'm left with Destiny 2 not having opened at all. I don't know what to do to resolve this, especially since the game was working fine about 2 hours ago.
I have checked for duplicate programs using the task manager, scanned and repaired the game, tested for compatibility issues, run antivirus and malware programs, reset winsock settings (as suggested by another user), and restarted my computer multiple times. The only things I haven't tried that I can think of would be uninstalling and then reinstalling, or perhaps scanning the hard drive that Destiny 2 is stored on, both of which I'm waiting to try in case there's a simpler solution to this issue.
PC specs, in case they are relevant:
Intel Core i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50 GHz
8GB RAM
GeForce 940MX
Windows 10 (latest version)

Hey Magnaavis. Appreciate you reporting this. You may want to try opening the battle.net launcher "Settings" and change the "When I open a game" option to "close the battle.net launcher completely" option. Some players have suggested disabling the "Always require authenticator for login" option in your Blizzard account settings.
