Ah yes the nerfing of 7 items, the only 7 items in this entire game has totally ruined it.
If only this game had more than those 7 exotics that are being nerfed we might have stayed.
I mean the game is literally unplayable
I literally can't login to play anything from patrols to raids because those 7 items, which still function, are now slightly less effective than they were before.
I mean i might as well not even be playing destiny, this nerf hs pretty much turned this game into a turn based rpg.

Nerfing of 7 popular items, some of which were already gimped but are being nerfed AGAIN for no reason, one of whom is being essentially turned into a legendary with exotic flavor text, all because they're used more than other things. These idiots that work in the dev team would rather break what's popular rather than fix whats unpopular so that what's unpopular becomes more popular. I can handle change, what I can't handle is unnecessary change in the wrong areas by short-sighted morons.

The problem is how does bungie incentivize me to stop using whisper that gives infinite ammo, or skull that wipes enemies back to back with unlimited super? I really don't see how without introducing something that's even more "broken", leading into the power creep the spoke about. Buffs and nerfs need to happen. Its bungie job to do it right and not nerf something into worthlessness. For exampme Whisper white nail should at least be given a 4th time the charm treatment for some bonus shots without all out unlimited ammo.

Show me a legendary that out dps'es whisper, please I'll wait. And they all worked fined for me. Not sure what the issue with items like shards or Ursa was or why people didn't understand how to use them

Not the amount of nerfs. If you were half as intelligent at you try to appear, you would understand that.

Well I'll climb on my short little pony to say that he's right and there's still a million things to do in this game regardless of nerfs. Some of us don't even have the guns/armor/et. being discussed lol, if you have them all, perhaps you need to go play something else, or join a book club?

I've been playing games as a hobby for 30+ years, over varying console generations and countless pc games. Bungie and Bioware take the prize for lazy development practices, undeserved rabid fanbases and deluded sense of their own abilities. I personally won't be affected at all by the nerfs, but I understand why people are so upset by this. If you used your brain, so would you.

Because people are resistant to change and latch on to something that they have no creative control over, getting upset because they think they should be able to dictate what changes happen and when? I mean, you can make the argument on both sides. It's a game. People need to calm down.

It isn't a control issue, it's a respect issue. People feel like their "dedication" and efforts are being appreciated. I personally think they are looking at the wrong developers for that, because Bungie have never been that kind of studio. It is just a game,,and this is just a business (for Bungie). The problem is that if you treat consumers badly, why should they buy your products in the future? If you no longer trust that the product you will receive, is the one you were promised and paid for, why will you spend more money?

You are talking about dedication, yet from what I've seen people are mostly upset about whisper which takes like a full hour to get. Ya people are upset about the other nerfs yet this seems to be the most commonly mentioned

The nerf will also affect the masterworked version too. Which takes longer to get. Again though, it is the precedent that this sets.

I see your point but that precedent has been set long ago, like all the way back in d1. And bungie has a point, the game is easy enough as is, they need more ways to make it difficult. I wish they would get more creative, but I'll take what I can get

Therein lies my main issue..... they always take the lazy route. Tbh none of the nerfs will actually have much of an impact to my load out or play style, I just wish they would put the effort in lol

I can agree with you there. It would be nice to see them make something challenging without either putting a timer on it, or just making everything super beefy

Point is, the nerfs barely change anything even for those who do use them. Things will get nerfed, every game does it from halo to borderlands My problem with those here is that the word nerf is almost as toxic as the forum itself. It begets immediate backlash and all those who offer anything other than disdain for the change are attacked as well. And to the assertion of laziness, yeah it might be. But what else do you do? The community hates immunity phases in enemies like strike bosses.(see hollowed lair) The community hates more mechanic heavy encounters(see leviathan) The community hates bullet sponges (see rockets mcdickface)

I also think people would have been fine with the Leviathans mechanics focused approach I'd it wasn't quite as buggy. Although I have tried that Raid with several of my...... erm.... less co-ordinated clan mates and by the end of it I wanted to beat them all with a dead cabal. At the end of the day, this is the community Bungie have fostered and grown, if they then can't be bothered because they feel under appreciated, why should the rest of us suffer?

Because I'm assuming this is bungie finally picking a direction and moving towards an actual focused product. Some people won't like it. I might not like it. But its what needs to be done
