“In our hands?” Haven’t we lived this scenario previously with Black Hammer and Spindle? We know how this works, we lived it. WotW and SS aren’t some random drop junk exotic, they are exotics we had to work hard to get. The reward should reflect the work put on.
I can only reason that these nerfs are happening because of the new upcoming raid. Remember when they seemingly for no reason nerfed ToM? Had they not , it would have melted the boss in WotM.
To me, the bigger question is after the great White Nail Nerf of 2016, why did they even bother bringing it back?

It was made to give the community a sense of power again after the complaints made by people to bring power back to guardians in destiny. People hated double primarys and hated that it normally took so long to kill bosses. This weapon was a sign to guardians. Power was being given back. This eventually led back to the weapon system of d1 (primary, special, heavy, with the added twist of being able to carry double special as well). Now that they are taking power again, what in the name of xol, did they think would happen. Bring back our worm god weapon!

The whisper situation is baffling. Either they put it out knowing exactly how it would play out, or they are simply so inept they literally made the same mistake twice.
