They’ll get all the advice they need from influencers who make a living playing Destiny. It would be nice if the majority of the player base was also heard. I mean actually heard by developers not just a community manager pretending to relay info back to developers which likely never happens.

Yeah people defend content creators and all that and say that they're not the reason D2 ended up being the way it is and that's true, they didn't directly do anything and they aren't entirely to blame either, doesn't mean they didn't help it all along. The community summit was only for the "voices of the community" who have only ever really cared about what they want and nobody else. Sure they helped get D2 fixed up by telling Bungie what they already knew, that D2 was too slow but that wasn't because they cared about the average player, it's because they wanted to continue playing for views, etc. Competitive came in primarily for the top players, then they got pinnacle weapons, then SBMM was taken away because THEY complained about games being too sweaty for THEM. They didn't care about how that would impact the average player did they? Nope. Look at D1 trials... How many nerfs did that bring in?
