The plus 10 are barely noticeable on any gun to have a really meaningful impact on gunplay, if you ask me. I basically can't tell the difference between a Handcannon (with slow reload) with the +10 masterwork reload bonus or without it. So why even bother. Same with guns with MW rolls on already outstanding stats. A Chattering Bone with +10 stability on it is just as good a non MW'd Chattering Bone. It's only good for one thing: orbs.

    I'll partially agree. It's mostly for orbs, yes. But some things do stand out to me. Like stability on a pulse rifle (+10 stability is the same as Ricochet Rounds) and range on a hand cannon (+10 is the same as Accurized Rounds). I think we can agree though that stat bar perks/buffs took a nerf in D2. Behavior perks are FAR more important.
