Last night I was banned from the game, now I run Discord, Razer Synapse, MSI Afterburner in the background. Now I am not sure what issued the ban but I did some digging and people have been banned from running any if not all the programs at once. I however was running a VPN due to connection issues, I don't use any cheat software or programs. Yes I get a little salty and do some smack talking, now I was wanting to know if I could get ahold of a bungie employee about either a refund of the hundreds of dollars I have sunk into the game in the past less than year, or a possibility of lifting my ban. I got in the order of error codes, Weasel and Saxophone then followed by account has been banned. I can prove that I do not use any cheating software.
Those error codes would not get you banned. What gets you banned is running software that violates the EULA/SLA. If it is a ban, your account is done period. If it says restriction, it is usually lasting between 2 weeks to 2 months. If it is a suspension, it is between 30 minutes and 120 minutes. Here is Bungie's policy on the subject: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 It will not be discussed, it will not be lessened, it will not be reduced nor will anything be changed. If it is a ban it is more than likely for one of a couple reasons: 1) You purchased an illegitimate key for the game from a site who created the key using a keygen program 2) You used a cheat/aimbot/wallhack/mod/trainer/AHK program in order to gain an advantage in Destiny 2. 3) You used a cheat/aimbot/wallhack/mod/trainer/AHK program for another game and the anti-cheat engine detected that triggered your ban because other game cheats can be used to insert code into the game and will get you banned 4) You had some form of a debugging software (for some unknown reason) on the same active partition that you are gaming on 5) You participated in and/or were party to egregious network manipulation
Bungie will not discuss or lift your ban. They will also not give you any money, as they are not the ones who sold you the game.
